Welcome As your members arrive, give each of them a note card & a pen. Ask them to write down a Christmas song or Christmas movie that best describes their feelings about Christmas. They should NOT put their name on the card. When finished, have them turn the card in to the leader to use during the Family Time. (*You might provide a list of songs & movies.) Opening Prayer Invite the Lord to fill each member of your HG with love, joy & peace as you fellowship together as the family of God.

Family Time Using the cards filled out earlier, read one at a time & have people guess who wrote that card. Let the one who wrote each card explain their choice. The point is to just get to know each other better & share some sentiments around the holiday season. In Luke 19:10 Jesus said, The Son of Man came to seek & to save that which was lost. Invite a few of your HG members to share how Jesus sought after them & saved them. Thats why He came! *Get at least one child to share their story. Kids Time For younger children: Sing the familiar song Zacchaeus was a wee little man, & a wee little man was he with the hand motions. If you dont know them, then make them up. Read Luke 19:1-10 Write each word of Luke 19:10 out on note cards. Lay out the verse with the words in order & have the kids recite it a few times together. Then remove one of the words & see if they can say the verse. Repeat this pattern until no words remain...only the verse reference. You might also scramble the words up & let the kids put them back in order. Adult Time Have you ever lost something very valuable to you? (lost wallet, car keys, one of your kids, etc.) Anyone have a story to tell? The value of the object lost dictates the passion with which we look for it, right? So...how valuable we must be for God to go to such great lengths to seek & save us...the death of His own Son. God has that same passion for the lost people in your lives. How can you join in with Gods work this Christmas to seek & save the lost? Be specific. Have any of you ever rescued someone from harm (someone drowning, in a car accident, CPR, etc.)? Any stories to share? Have any of you ever been rescued from harm? Stories? How did you feel (or how would you feel) towards the one who rescued you? You would certainly thank them, but you might even owe them your life, so to speak. How can we pay God back for rescuing us? What do we owe God for rescuing us? Prayer Time Spend time thanking the Lord for His passionate pursuit of the lost...praising Him for seeking & saving the members of your HG. Individually name each member of your HG & praise His name for saving them. You might break up into smaller prayer groups so you can involve more people in sharing & in prayer. Ask your members if they have any family members who do not yet know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. Spend time praying for those family members by name.

Community Calendar Invite your family, neighbors or co-workers to the PBC Christmas Eve services on December 24. Theres the 3:00pm Family Friendly Service & the 6:00pm Classic Candlelight Service. Church Calendar Pantego Bible Churchs day to serve at the Mission Arlington Christmas Store is December 21! It is our responsibility as a church to mind the store, serve the families that come through, wrap gifts, etc. Please consider serving as a HG!
