The total result which we get is that QAU score a 3.57 which is higher Irom all the universities
than on our analysis stand the NUST at second position which score a 3.38 than IIUI and
COMSAT acquire less score Irom both universities as in competition that is 2.78 and 2.33.


Universities Introduction:
Quaid-i-Azam University
This University was established as University oI Islamabad under an Act oI National Assembly
passed in July, 1967. It started teaching and research program Ior M.Phil & Ph.D. degrees. Later
on, it was decided to start M.Sc. degree program Ior graduates Irom all regions oI the country,
based on regional quota. The University was housed initially in rented buildings in Satellite
Town, Rawalpindi and moved to its permanent Campus in October 1971. The University was
renamed as "Quaid-i-Azam University" in 1976 at the time oI centenary celebrations oI the
Founder oI Pakistan. The University is recognized in Pakistan and abroad as an Institution oI
higher academic standards and its graduates receive acceptance in universities and research
institutions the world over. The University has also established research collaboration with
selected universities/research organizations in United States, Europe and South Asia. The
University is rated as one oI top public institution oI higher education in Pakistan which has
qualiIied team oI teachers and researchers. More than 80 oI the teachers hold doctoral degrees
with experience oI working in renowned universities oI the world. The University has the
distinction oI having a large number oI distinguished scientists and educationists as its Iaculty
members, holding national awards and international recognition.
NUST:
National University oI Sciences and Technology (NUST) was established in March 1991 Ior the
promotion oI higher scientiIic education in the country, especially in the Iields oI science and
technology by providing stable and disciplined academic environment together with need-based
research, pertinent to industrial requirements. The University was granted its Charter in 1993.
Over the years, the University has expanded in scope, services and stature and has emerged as a

International Islamic University(IIUI):
The Ioundation oI the Islamic University, Islamabad was laid on the Iirst day oI the IiIteenth
century Hijrah i.e. Muharram 1, 1401 (November 11,1980). This landmark oI the beginning oI
the new Century symbolizes the aspirations and hopes oI the Muslim Ummah Ior an Islamic
renaissance. The university was created to produce scholar and practitioners who are imbued
with Islamic ideology, whose character and personality conIorms to the teachings oI Islam, and
who are capable to cater to the economic, social, political, technological and intellectual needs oI
the Muslim Ummah. Islamic Research Institute and Iew other units like Iqbal International
Institute Ior Research & Dialogue, Dawah Academy, Shariah Academy and Institute oI
ProIessional Development are situated within the premises oI majestic Faisal Mosque (spread
over an area oI 189,705 square meters) which is a symbol oI International Islamic brotherhood
and unity. In conIormance with the Islamic precepts, the university provides academic services
to men and women through separate campuses Ior each segment. These campuses, along with the
central library, administrative wing and hostels, are located in sector H-10.
COMSAT:
COMSATS Institute oI InIormation Technology (CIIT) started its journey in 1998, and
established its Iirst campus at Islamabad in April 1998. The CIIT at present comprises oI Iive
Faculties and 16 Departments. Presently, 23 under graduate degree programs and 32 graduate
programs are on oIIer in which more than 18,000 students are enrolled. There are more than
1,745 Iaculty members working in CIIT. More than320 Iaculty members and academic managers
holding PhD qualiIication are currently serving the CIIT. The remaining have MS / MPhil in
relevant Iields. CIIT has proudly produced more than 12,000 graduates since its inception in
2000. So Iar, 33 convocations have been organized in its campuses. More than 420 Iaculty
members are under going advanced education leading to MS and PhD degrees and post doctoral
research in USA, UK, China, France, etc. The Iunding Ior advanced education has come Irom
CIIT Scholarships, HEC Scholarships and Ministry oI Science and Technology Scholarships.
During the Ten years since its inception, independent entities have evaluated CIIT and the
quality oI programs it oIIers, such as the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan
Engineering Council (PEC) and the Institute oI ScientiIic InIormation (ISI) Web oI Knowledge.
Undergraduate engineering degree programs oI the CIIT have been accredited by the Pakistan
Engineering Council (PEC), the accrediting body Ior engineering education in the country. The
Higher Education Commission (HEC) in an exercise Ior the ranking oI institutions oI higher
education in Pakistan has ranked CIIT at number 8 among the engineering institutions oI higher
education during 2006. In terms oI research citations, the research produced at CIIT has been
ranked at number two as notiIied by HEC in 2008.
In terms oI research output, CIIT has been consistently ranked at number seven among all the
institutions oI higher education numbering more than 134 in the country since 2006 until 2009,
as notiIied by HEC, based on Research output in peer-reviewed journals indexed by Thomson-
Reuters, the Institute oI ScientiIic InIormation (ISI), Web oI Knowledge, USA CIIT. It Iurther
improved its position and rose to number six during 2010.
