Reading Strategy: Pronoun Reference Pronouns such as he, she, they, this, that, those, or which should clearly refer to specific nouns. Otherwise, you have a faulty pronoun reference that makes a sentence confusing and grammatically incorrect. A pronoun can fall either before or after the noun it refers to. If the pronoun comes afterward, the noun it refers back to is called the antecedent The antecedent of a sentence must be clear for readers to easily comprehend a sentence. 1. A pronoun coming before noun: This strategy should work. (This refers to strategy) 2. A pronoun coming after a noun: Jane championed the new strategy. It was bold, innovative, and comprehensive. SOCIAL MEDIA refers to the use of web-based and mobile technologies to turn communication into an interactive dialogue. It includes any website that invites a viewer to interact with the site and with other visitors. So, social media is comparable to a social instrument of communication or social interaction. Social media is media for social interaction, as a superset beyond social communication. With the capacity of accessible and scalable communication technique everywhere, social media considerably change the way of communication between organizations, communities, as well as individuals. SOCIAL NETWORK is a social structure made up of individuals or organizations. It(2) is called nodes which are connected by one or more specific types of common interest group. Regarding the current trend of information technology communication, social network represents relationships and flows between people, groups, organizations, animals, computers, or other information/ knowledge processing entities. In particular the online connection becomes one of the most popular types of social network in the workplace, schools, and universities. Based on a certain structure, the social networking serves people

expressing their individuality and meeting people with similar interests. This(3) structure includes having profiles, friends, blog posts, widget, and usually unique to that particular social networking website such as Hi5, Facebook, Google+, etc. The social networking is usually connected via Social Network Sites (SNSs). The SNSs is defined as web-based services commonly used websites that allow individuals to get into the social network with 3 operations: (1) constructing a public or semi-public profile within a bounded system; (2) expressing a list of other users with whom they(4) shared a connections, and (3) viewing and crossing their list of connections and those made by others within the system. The SNSs function like an online community of internet users who sign up as the community members and share common interests in various features such as hobbies, activities, learning, etc. Many SNSs provide some similar components; those are, Profiles contain basic information about oneself, which(5) are age, gender, living place, and personality questions. Social networks dedicated to a special theme like music or movies might ask questions related to that theme. Friends are trusted members of the site that are allowed to post comments on ones profile or sent private messages. Friends are the heart and soul of social networking. Each site uses different term of Friends like Connections in LinkedIn. Groups in most social networks are for finding people with similar interests or Engage in discussion on certain topics. They(6) are both a way to connect with like-minded people and that to identify their interests. Sometimes groups are called other names, like the networks on Facebook. Discussion is a primary focus of groups to create interaction between users in the forms of forum. Most social networking websites support discussion boards for the groups. Many of them(7) also allow members of the group posing pictures, music, video clips and others related to the group. Blog is a feature to create ones own blog entries. Some SNSs, like Wordpress or Blogger, provide rich blogging through the social network. Those(8) sites create as the blog hosts, which is perfect for keeping people informed on what one is up to. Widget is a feature to display information and invite user to act in a number of ways.
