This operation manual (hereafter OM) comprises operating principle description, and information required for correct operation of single-phase active energy meter series CE200 (hereafter the energy meter). Authorized personnel only, trained for working at voltage up to 1000W and studied this operation manual, is admitted to work with the energy meter. 1 Safety requirements Safety level of the energy meter operation complies with safety requirements of GOST 22261-94 and GOST R 51350-99. Electric shock protection device of the energy meter corresponds to class II according to GOST R 51350-99. Mounting and operation of the energy meter shall be carried out in accordance with the working rules of electric installation operation. 2 The energy meter description and its operation principle The energy meter is a direct connected energy meter and designed for active energy measurement in single-phase alternating current circuit. The energy meter is provided with electronic register mesuring energy in kWh on the left of a decimal point and in kWh deciles on the right of the decimal point (one sign after the decimal point) with information display on indicating device. The energy meter measures electric energy only if there is current in one or two circuits, however the metering is carried out in the circuit where the consumption is higher. Designation structure of the energy meter:

CE200 Reading device type: M7 7-digits mechanic; M6 6-digits mechanic. Base (maximum) current: 5 5 (60) ; 8 10 (100) . Nominal voltage: 4 230 V. Accuracy class according to GOST R 52322: 11 Case type: S4, S6, S10 for installation in switchboard; R5 for DIN-rail mounting. Note: a figure designates the number of case design. The energy meter is connected to single-phase alternating current circuit and installed in the places additionally protected from environmental influence (facilities, stands, cabinets, switchboards) with the following operating application conditions: temperature of surrounding air : -40 to +70C; relative humidity of surrounding air: 30 to 80%; atmospheric pressure: 70 to 106,7 Kpa (537 to 800 mm Hg;

measuring network frequency (50 2,5) Hz or (60 3) Hz; form of voltage and measuring network current curves sinusoidal with nonsinusoidality ratio not more than 12%. 3 Technical characteristics The energy meter complies with the requirements of GOST R 52320-2005. Guaranteed technical characteristics are those comprising limits or limit values. The values of quantity without limits are considered referential. Accuracy class of the energy meter 1 according to GOST R 52322-2005. Protection level of the energy meter I51 according to GOST 14254-96. Apparent (active) power consumed by voltage circuit of the energy meter under nominal voltage, normal temperature, nominal frequency not more than 9,0 V (0,8 W). Apparent power consumed by current circuit under base current, normal temperature and nominal network frequency not more than 0,1 V. Operating voltage range: 172 to 265V. Meter constant 1600 imp./ (kWh) for the energy meter with base current 5A and 800 imp./ (kWh) for the energy meter with base current 10A. Starting current 0,2 for the energy meter with base current 5 0,04 for the energy meter with base current 10 .

When current circuit is open and voltage value is 1,15 of nominal value, output device of the energy meter produces not more than 1 impulse during the time t equal to 27 min 19 sec for the energy meters with maximum current 60A and equal to 32 min 36 sec for the energy meters with maximum current 100A. Initial loading time from the moment of nominal voltage supply not more than 5 sec. Mean time to failure with maintenance service 160000 h. Average life 30 years. Weight not more than 0,7 kg. The limits of permissible values of basic fractional error are listed in the table 1. Under the voltage less than 0,75 of nominal near-extreme error is within the range from +10 to -100%. Table 1 Electric current value Power factor Limits of permissible basic error 1,5

General view of the energy meter, overall and connection dimensions are stated in the appendix A. 4 Principle of operation The principle of the energy meter operation is based on multiplication of current and voltage input signals in circuit phase or zero of the highest value, according to sigma-delta modulation with following signal transformation into pulse frequency proportional to input power. Summing up of these impulses by the reading device results in the amount of active power. The meter meters energy if there is current flow in one or two current circuits, however metering is carried out in the circuit in which the consumption is higher. If the difference between phase and zero wires exceeds 12,5%, light indicator of current inequality switches on II (for the energy meters in S4, S6 and S10 cases). 5 Light indicator There are two light indicators in the energy meter. The first light indicator displays supply network availability and is combined with the light indicator of test output device (telemetric output). This indicator is radiant when there is no current flow through the meter and it dies out when impulses are produced, the frequency of these impulses is proportional to power output. The second light indicator signalize of electric currents inequality flowing through phase and zero circuit. When the difference between electric currents exceeds 12,5 %, the light indicator of electric currents inequality switches on II (for the energy meters in S4, S6 and S10 cases). 6 Prestarting procedures
