Borgerson: A Biography
August 16, 2011 Chris Borgerson is a warrior-scholar and has now become an entrepreneur and businessman. On the WARRIOR PATH, he became a US Marine, fighting for the freedom of others, and has served as a Police Officer, Deputy Sheriff, Prosecuting Attorneys Investigator and is presently a Medicolegal Death Investigator (part-time) with the St. Louis City Medical Examiners Office, all in Missouri, USA. His law enforcement experience includes more than 15 years full-time employment and 10 years reserve volunteer and part-time employment. Borgerson has extensive experience in investigating, interviewing, crime scene processing, making custodial arrests and problem solving. He has successfully investigated crimes and incidents, has had warrants issued on his applications ,and contributed to the convictions of persons responsible for crimes ranging from arson, assault, burglary, drug possession, DWI, insurance fraud, possession of stolen property, robbery, sexual assault, stealing and other felony and misdemeanor offenses. On the SCHOLAR PATH, he established the Moberly Are Community College Law Enforcement Training Center (MACCLETC) in Randolph County, MO, where he also created an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Law Enforcement and an Associate of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice. He then returned to Mineral College Law Enforcement Academy (MACLEA) in St. Francois County, MO, to become its director. After additional graduate school studies, Borgerson became Chair of the School of Criminal Justice at ITT Technical Institute campus in Jefferson County, MO, where he implemented tow college degree programs; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and an Associate of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies. Additionally, he has written and taught over 800 clock hours of Missouri Peace Officer Standards (POST) Program approved training and has taught college courses in sociology, political science, history and criminal justice, in both a full-time and adjunct status for over 22 years. Also, in addition to being an administrator with budgeting experience, he has hired, trained, supervised and elad dozens of part and full-time police trainers and college teachers, as well as trained Marines for 12 years. The SCHOLAR PATH culminates in degrees in Sociology from the University of Missouri (1971), a MS Degree in Government from Southern Illinois University (1991) and is 83% complete toward earning a MS Degree in Education from Missouri Baptist University. He is also a Missouri POST certified Peace Officer and Generalist Instructor. Chris Borgerson is the inventor of the Homeland Security Evidence Collection Kit (HLSECK) and it is the goal of his company, Borgerson & Associates LLC, to place these kits across America and the world in support of persons in law enforcement, public service, security, investigative, military and education professions.
