HP SONOS 2000 Imaging System Technical Data

Obtaining diagnostic information more efficiently Features
Stress Echo option assures rapid acquisition, editing, and display of full-resolution images in quadscreen format, based on userselected protocols. Dynamic Elevation Beamforming and new HP transducers produce exceptional 2-D images throughout the field of view. QuickTouch user interface allows quick, consistent, and reliable navigation between all imaging modes and controls for more efficient exams. Digital Network Interface lets you network your SONOS studies to EnConcert. You can quickly and easily capture and store original quality images as true digital data. Extended Definition Color Flow displays exceptional filling and physiologic flow presentation. Multi, dual and single-frequency transducers from 2.0 MHz to 7.5 MHz cover a wide range of cardiac/vascular applications. Steerable PW/CW Doppler provides excellent penetration and sensitivity. HP presets automatically configure the system to the way you want to perform an exam.

Superior 2-D imaging provides versatility over a wide range of patients and pathologies, showing fine textures and focused anatomy.

Vascular Improvement Package helps you achieve optimum studies from carotid to deep venous and abdominal vascular through improved B-mode and color Doppler, new multifrequency transducers, a new analysis package, and innovative features that increase your efficiency.

Features
Special features for pediatric imaging include specialized transducers for superior image quality; Fetal Doppler; and High Pulse Repetition Frequency (HPRF) Doppler, which accurately measures range-specific, high-velocity flow. Continuous Loop Review option allows review of 2-D and color images at various speeds, in single-, dual-, or quad-screen format. Digital Storage and Retrieval option archives images on an optical disk for high-capacity storage and rapid access to studies. Lateral Gain Control adds an additional level of flexibility to image quality control and optimizes detection of blood/tissue interfaces. Tilt-and-swivel monitor allows easy viewing in a variety of scanning environments. Backlit control panel with adjustable intensities permits operation in dimly lit rooms. Extended physio option provides ECG, auxiliary, respiration, heartsound, and pulse waveform monitoring.

Functional Description
The HP SONOS 2000 is a high-resolution, real-time phased array ultrasound scanner with built-in applications and presets for adult and pediatric cardiac imaging as well as vascular and abdominal studies. It is designed to help the user obtain diagnostic information in a more efficient manner. The SONOS 2000 performs 2-D, M-mode, steerable pulsed- and continuous-wave Doppler, High Definition Color Flow, and conventional color flow imaging. A variety of display formats, including the optional, fully-integrated quad screen Continuous Loop Review (CLR), provide versatility in reviewing and comparing images.
