CHAPTER ONE THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

Introduction This is a general introduction to what the case study is all about--it is not just a description of the contents of each section. A good introduction should: a. tell the background and b. Show the justification of choosing the subject. c. Identified the research problem. Background of the Study The proponents know that the subject area of the topic is familiar to everyone and has a basic knowledge about batch organization. But the basic knowledge or information about a batch can extend more by using technology, unlike to the past operations each person involve where listed and manually contacted by the person in-charge to set general meeting of the batch. It is actually a waste of time for everyone who is dedicated to work, and a hard time to think which one will be prioritize. It is actually a fact that most of people want a convenience what level or what type of thing is that. In the present days more people are searching for an online system that everyone could use wherever they are to communicate well and discuss important facts to organize the settings they applied to the organization.

Statement of the Problem A lot of graduate students from high school and up to college missed communicating themselves and do not enough information about the past class or batch. To inform someone that you didnt know much information is difficult. And you cant just rely onto the year book of the batch respecting to the information of many individuals, it could be not exists to their current information. The better way to overcome these problems is to create an Alumni Monitoring System that will help to update current information of the users and to be a useful medium for everyone. One the main problem found out by the proponents in the study is the poor communication of many individuals that in the same time each must be involve to the status of the batch. Some of the specific problems are: Distributed location for everyone. Some individuals are not allowed to attend meetings. From time to time, not all are informed. Objectives of the Study This system has set of objectives to fulfill the required needs of an online monitoring system in some advantages and abilities using the technology we had. The objectives are: General Objective To be able to develop the studies found out by the proponents and letting the beneficiaries to use the proposed system with complete functions needed. Specific Objectives

1. To develop a website that will used by school Alumnus. 2. Connecting each Alumni/Alumna via an internet medium. 3. To give a most recent information. 4. To secure and private discussions/meetings. 5. Keeping each user to justify current information.

Scope and Limitation Scope and limitations of the study is an important section of research paper. This includes the coverage of the study area, the subjects, the research instruments, the research issues and concerns, the duration of the study, and the constraints that have direct bearing on the result of the study. The scope should include the brief statement of the general purpose of the study, the subject matter and topics studied and discussed, the population that is large enough to generalizations significant, the period of the study(time either months, years during the data were gathered). It should explain the expected capabilities of the software according to the needs and purpose of the users. The limitations of the study includes the weaknesses beyond the control of the proponent. Significance of the Study The System is the answer in the poor communication technique used by some car groups outside. This computerized batch monitoring system may help the problems in communicating, time issue, and history of the beneficiaries making alive again. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The significance of the study in thesis/research paper is a must. For research project seeking for financial assistance by the other agencies, significance of the study should be presented comprehensively in order to convince the screening committee of the importance of the study. The discussion of the significance of the study is presented either in the inductive or deductive perspective. In an inductive perspective the researcher moves from the particular to the general and presents the importance of the study from the target beneficiaries, to the researcher himself, to the people in the community, to the people in the province, region and nation. Likewise in the deductive perspective, general to particular, discussion of the importance of the study starts first from the national level.to the researcher himself and to the target beneficiaries. The investigator should prove that the study has important contributions in relation to (a) solving the problem (b) bridging a knowledge gap (c) improving social, and economic conditions (d) enriching research instruments and methods, and (e) supporting government thrusts. It indicate who are the different groups of beneficiaries, how will each group benefit from use of the study or software? Educational Significance The structure of this system is based on the arrangement of the processes in a communication processing systems because it has the processes in day-to-day communications it can help to maintain the orderliness of the procedures. Technological Significance The components need by the system is obtainable. The systems behavior in both hardware and software are ablebodied, knowing that the system is more efficient and reasonable.

Economical Significance This system has the possibility to make more beneficiaries and effective because this system carries the technology and reliability. As the proponents make sure that every cost in developing the system is profitable.

Hypothesis of the Study A hypothesis is defined as a wise guess that is formulated and temporarily adopted to explain the observed facts covered by the study. A hypothesis guides the investigator in describing the procedure to follow in conducting the study. Hypothesis is important for it tells the investigator what to do and how to go about solving a research problem. The researcher is in a much better position if there are hypotheses to guide him on the kind of data to collect (Leedy, 1981). The hypothesis is a tentative conclusion or answer to a specific question raised at the beginning of the investigation. It is an educated guess about the specific objective and problem. It is a simple guess about the projected outcome/output to be accepted if found true as per the data obtained, rejected otherwise.
