However expectations from textiles in terms of enhanced healthcare have been increasing due to growing global population with a greater life expectancy. Since a collaborative work is necessary in developing textile materials and production processes for medical purposes; EGE MEDITEX 2012- International Congress on Healthcare and Medical Textiles will be organized by Textile Engineering Department of Ege University in Izmir, Turkey on May 17-18 2012.
