December 6th, 2011, Internal Assets: A Closer Look, Brookville, IN: Stayin Alive of Franklin County are partnering to put on a 40 Developmental Asset training to look closer at the Internal Assets and how you can help build them in the youth of your community. This event is being held at the Goldfinch Restaurant in Brookville from 9AM-11AM and breakfast will be included. To register, please contact Melinda Brown at stayin_alive24@hotmail.com. December 6th & 7th, 2011, Because Kids Count Conference, Indianapolis, IN: Save the date for this annual conference sponsored by Indiana Youth Institute. For additional information go to www.iyi.org. December 14th, 2011, IYI is hosting a training on Bullying, Washington, IN: Joan Knies, an expert on relational aggression, will explain how breaking the cycle of bullying violence in our homes, schools and communities involves more than merely identifying and stopping the bully. This training will take place from11:30AM-1PM at the Washington Carnegie Public Library in Washington, IN. This training is FREE and IYI will be providing lunch. Drugged and Drunk Driving Package Parents; The Anti-Drug provides numerous, FREE resources to teach teens about the hazards of drugged, drunk and distracted driving.
