Transforming Youth of India

Yeh hai youngistan meri jaan!! This tagline is very common among todays youngsters, or we can say is a short introduction of our transforming Indian youth. Gone are the days of simple living and high thinking. But now young generation openly defy and make mockery of our inherited values, culture, tradition, ideas & ideals. The younger generations like fun, enjoyment and adventure. Their fascination for the materialistic culture is quite obvious. Moreover, they lose their self esteem and character. Our youth is aping the Western culture. As a result , the young students in school and colleges are going astray. Generally, they are found interacting in foul / abusive language. Certainly, this has became their habit. They are becoming indisciplined. Eventually, the youth of India is virtually being crippled by the menace of Drug abuse, alcoholism, smoking, etc. The growing pub-culture, late night discos and beer-clubs are doing the rest. Actually, the youngistaan is passing through a cultural & social crisis. Pragmatism, not the principles, is the guiding factor of life. It is the fault of our education and upbringing. In todays world of modernization, the joint families have been nuclearised which has resulted in the busy schedule of parents, wherein they dont have the time to pay attention to their children and thus, the children are unable to express themselves leading to depression, dependency on peer group & finally a medium like addiction to drugs, alcohol, etc to ease out there stess. Evidently, the movies and vulgar TV shows have polluted the young minds by serving them undesirable programmes . Prominently, the temptations of achieving success, fame & money at early stage aspires them to commit crimes. So, from my point of view, youngsters need to be given moral education at every level. Parents should bind them with love and care And should pay attention to them to avoid their child from being a rudderless ships. They should be made aware about the harmful effects of such habits of drugs, etc . Create an inspiring atmosphere around them and promote them to fulfill their responsibilities towards their life, family, society and nation .& become a source of inspiration for others. Abuse Abuse, something which was once considered to be a sin is not just a trend in modern world but has also become a style icon among common people.

Abuse is improper usage or treatment for a bad purpose often to unfairly gain benefit. It can come in many forms, such as: physical or verbal maltreatment, violation of ethics and rules, unjust practices, or offence. Once there was a fear among people about abuse, but now it has become so common that it can be observed uncountable times in day to day life. There is no particular section in society which practices abusing. People of every age, kids, youth, adults, even senior citizens and everyone else can be seen abusing in some or other way. Moreover abusers do not even regret their acts. They find it to be enjoyable, and of course beneficial. Abusing has become a kind of status symbol today. And when questioned, abusers try to cover their guilt under destitution. Verbal abusers justify, abusing relieves mental stress, child abusers say it is the necessity of life, violators argue that they have no other choice left and some even proudly say that they do it for fun. Words like respect, dignity, ethics and responsibility are losing their significance and existence in society. The threatening examples are corruption, drug addiction, physical and mental harassment, sexual harassment, racism, gender discrimination, misuse of resources and facilities, and the list is never ending. The point is that abusing is slowly hollowing the humanity. Even animals find food and shelter for living, but what separates humans from them is civilization which is fading out as a result of abusing. There is an urgent need of consciousness towards the rusting pillars of humanity. Strict measures are needed to be taken against abuse.
