Sri Ramanad Sampraday is one of the most ancient community of saints whose origi n is believed to be from none other then Goddess Mother Janki. In this saint com munity, to enlighten the whole world with Ram Bhakti, Swami Ramanand Ji took inc amation who not only destroyed the obscurantist & retrogressive traditions & rit uals disrupting the Indian Socio-Cultural-Spiritual fadric but also took initiat ive to create a society which was free from dogma of caste & creed. About Shri Swami Ji Swami Dr. Ram Kamal Das Vedanti Ji Maharaj, is one such luminary of this ancient sampraday. Shri swami Ji who at present adorns the seat of Shri Mahanth (Spirit ual head) of shri Ram Mandir, whis was established by Swami Ananttanand ji about 650 years ago and, it is said, in which Goswami Tulsi Das lived during his stud ies, was born on the auspicious day of Vikram Samwat 2022, poornima of Paush Shu kla Paksh ( 1st January 1965) in village Auta, Uttar Pradesh, also the birht pla ce of Maharshi uddyalak, the famous ancient saint. In the virtuous company of a divinely religious mother seeds of Vairagya sprouted at an early age of ten. Swa mi ji was accepted as disciple & given Diksha of Vairagya by famous saint Swami Narharidas ji, who is himself a confluence of Gyan, Vairagya & Bhakti . Subsequently swami ji pursued indepth study of classical spiritual scritual scri ptures like Veda, Purana, Vedant, Upanishad, Srimad Bhagwat Gita, Shri Ram Chari t Manas in Vrindavandham, Chitrakoot, Bhopal, Varanasi, acquired a post graduate degree in Nav-Vyakaran & Vedant from Sanskrit University, Varanasi, a Post grad uate degree from Kashi Vidyapeeth University an institution founded by Mahatma G andhi, in Hindi & again a Ph.D. in sanskrit language on Shri Ram Charit Manas fr om Sanskrit University, Varanasi. Being highly impressed by sagacity & profound knowledge of shri swami ji the saint community of Kashi adorned him with the deg ree of Manas Peethadhiswar on the some place where Goswami Tulsidas created his world famous Vinay Patrika. Swamiji is one of the most Prominent orators of 'Ram Charit Manas', Shri Mad Bha gwat Puran, Shri Mad Bhagwat Gita and Vedant Darshan. Spreading the light of spiritual Knowledge through Ram Latha, both India and abr oad creating harmony among different society. At present Swami Ji is enganged in the operation of about 35 small & big charitable institutions, aimed at upliftm ent of deprived and destitutes, protection and preservation of our. ecosystem, m oral and spiritual sublimation of human being as a whole. ammes: Learning is an integral part of live. If a child gets proper education he attain s overall development. In order to provide education from primary to post gradua te the organisations has founded institutions like Navlakhi Dham, Ganjvasoda, M. P., nearly 1200 children are getting education in there instiitutions. To spread education among rural areas children being provided adequate pursuing in Vedant Gurukul. About 200 children reside here and get Secondary education. Besides, t he organisation organises Literary Drives with a view to ensure that each and ev ery citizen learns to read and write. A literate women can shape up future of tw o generations. Keeping this in mind the organisation has started various program s and training classes to make women literate. By preparing a spirituality oriented syllabus from primary to university level t he vision of imparting spiritual knowledge blended with cultural values has star ted taking shape. Its objective is to make available knowledge of spiritual and cultural values to each and every strata of society, to provide proper education to talented students, scholarships and vocational guidance programs are arrange d. Cultural Programmes: In order to preserve and spread our ancient cultural heritage which is as extens ive as peaks of himalayas and deep as ocean. The organisation arranges different kinds of cultural programmes ranging from Rass Garbha, Dramas, depictiong lives and teaching of great saint. Programmes of folk dance like Beda -Raas, Dandiya, Matki- Phod, Kirtans, Bhajans, essay debate, are organised from time to time. T he students are also trained to as updeshaks (preachers) of Bhagwat Gita, Ram Ch arit Manas, Performers of Karmkand and veda- adhyana. Environmental Protection & Conservation To protect and preserve our ecosystem and to boost a pollution free environment the orgnisation has undertaken various programmes like free plantation, creating awareness among masses about hazard of deforestation etc Depleting underground water level poses great threat to humanity to alleviate water problem in Aadivas i areas and to facilitate rural development the organisation undertake construct ion of ponds and tanks,chek-dams, recharging of wells & bore wells etc. De-Addictions: Drug addictions is a major threat for our youth, organisation lays emphasis duri ng Prarthana Sabhas and Satsang on drug de-addictionby creating awareness among youth and freed them from clutches of drug addiction. Literary Section: Art and literture reflect the true picture of society. Hence, it is essential to not only preserve our ancient literary heritage but to add to the treasure, The organisation taken upon itself the task by creating a separate department for p urpose of dessemination of literature publication and translation of literature of not only Hindu thought but also of other religious and cultures. Cow Rearing: Cow occupies a motherly place in Hindu religion. Rearing of cow is a very import ant tradition undertaken by every religious organisations. Living to this tradit ion two cow farms have been established- one in Varanasi and the other in Banvas i ashram, M.P. Rehabilitation during natural calanmities: During national calamities like earthquake, floods which play havoc and render m any homeless, the organiation undertakes relief work for rehabilitating the deva stated people. Activities include distribution of food, clothes and medicine, me dical camps, re-construction of houses etc.
