Our company has become the premiere provider of mountain bike tours in Central Pennsylvania. Included in this report are some of our most popular bike trails. Keep bike in good mechanical condition. Carry sufficient drinking water. Carry a tire pump & patch kit. Dress for cool weather at higher elevations. Wear sunscreen to prevent sunburn.
Bikes are legal vehicles and must follow traffic laws. Use common sense and be a defensive rider!
Most of the trails are on Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management land, which has some of the most scenic areas in the United States. Help keep it beautiful. Don't trespass private property or litter. Always yield to hikers, horse riders, vehicles, and other bikes. Never harass wild or tame animals. Warrior Ridge Trails Canoe Creek The one-mile Bike Trail runs between US 22 and Mattern Road, passing through the day use area. Blue Knob Several of the parks multi-use trails are designated for mountain bike use. For the beginner, Chappells Field Trail is a good challenge. For the more experienced, Three Springs Trail is an intermediate ride. Three Springs Trail is also open to horseback riding. Please be considerate of other trail users. For the more experienced and expert mountain biker, Crist Ridge Trail, Rock N Ridge Trail and portions of Mountain View Trail are suggested. Keystone Lake Side Trail is excellent for bikes of all types. This two-mile, level trail loops around the lake on park roads and walkways. Mountain bikes must stay on park roads or gravel walkways. All other trails are foot-traffic only. Ohiopyle The Youghiogheny River Trail has 27 miles of trail in the park and is part of the Great Allegheny Passage that connects Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Cumberland, Maryland. The flat, crushed limestone trail was once the rail bed for the Western Maryland Railroad. This trail is suitable for all ages and accessible to people with disabilities. Rental bicycles are available. The trail is

excellent for hiking, jogging and cross-country skiing and can be used to combine a bike ride or hike with some excellent wilderness trout fishing or hunting. All motorized vehicles and equestrians are prohibited. Prince Gallitzin All bicyclists may use park roads open to public travel. Campers may cycle the 2.3-mile multi-use trail around the perimeter of the campground. In the northern part of the park, the 20-mile snowmobile trail network is open for mountain biking and hiking. Bikers should follow the rules of the road and common courtesies. Shawnee There are 7.5 miles of trails. The 3.4-mile Lakeshore Trail is easy biking and includes a small section of shared road. All other designated bicycling trails are moderate difficulty. Allegheny National Forest The federally-operated Allegheny National Forest has more than 100 miles of ATV trails. ATV trail season runs from the Friday before Memorial Day through the last Sunday in September, winter season is from December 20-April 1. Contact the Allegheny National Forest Supervisor's Office, P.O. Box 847, 222 Liberty Street, Warren, PA 16365 (814) 723-5150. Effective July 1, 2002, the Allegheny National Forest implemented the Fee Demo Program for ATV and motorized bike trails. An annual $35 permit fee is required, and can be purchased from any Allegheny National Forest office, and some local vendors, or online at www.fs.fed.us/r9/allegheny. Special Events Our Pioneer Day 10K family bike ride has become a favorite with the local communities every July 24th. It is a nice ride up into the foothills and back.
Every presentation should have a title slide. Make sure the title relates
to the presentation content.
Maintain a consistent color scheme throughout the presentation. Keep the background simple, making sure the text can be seen clearly. Avoid long lines of text. Avoid too many lines of text. No line should
consist of more than seven words; no slide should consist of more than seven lines. (7 X 7 Rule)
For bulleted text, avoid using a single bullet or more than five bullets per
slide. Dont use more than two levels of bullets.
Use consistent wording in bulleted text. Use clip art that relates to the content and doesnt distract from the
message. Avoid the temptation to jazz up a slide show with too much clip art.
Keep charts simple. The most effective charts are pie charts with three
or four slices and column charts with three or four columns.
Provide some form of handout so your audience can keep track of the
presentation.

We have been asked to do a presentation at the local chamber of commerce and the tourism board for the county on our business. Please prepare a presentation of at least 15 slides on Warrior Ridge Bike Tours. Include information about what we do, tours that we provide, our sponsoring of the Pioneer Day 10K family ride, photos of the area, bike safety rules that we follow, etc. Include our new logo on each page.
