INTRODUCTION As a develop country and becoming developing country in the future, it is rationally to have human resource that educated,

skilfully and the change to improve their academic performances widely. The method of teaching and learning need to be change based on todays development and technology. Mobile learning (M-learning) is one of the methods of teaching and learning which popular nowadays. Sebagai sebuah Negara yang pesat membangun dan menuju kearah Negara maju, maka adalah wajar untuk melahirkan sumber manusia yang berpendidikan ,berkemahiran dan di beri peluang untuk meningkatkan diri dari segi akademik seluas-luasnya. Sehubungan dengan itu, kaedah dan bentuk pengajaran dan pembelajaran juga harus berubah mengikut perkembangan semasa dan teknologi sedia ada. Salah satu kaedah dan bentuk pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang semakin popular di masa ini adalah Mobile learning or M-Learning. Mobile learning can be defined as any sort of learning that happens when the learner is not at a fixed, predetermined location, or learning that happens when the learner takes advantage of the learning opportunities offered by mobile technologies. (MOBIlearn 2003) Mobile Learning membawa maksud: Any sort of learning that happens when the learner is not at a fixed, predetermined location, or learning that happens when the learner takes advantage of the learning opportunities offered by mobile technologies. Current State of Mobile Learning views, Mobile education is learning delivered of supported solely or mainly by handheld and mobile technologies such as personal digital assistants (PDAs), Smartphone or wireless laptop PCs.

Syed Ardi Bin Syed Yahya Kamal, Profesor Madya Dr. Zaidatun Tasir Future learning MOBILE LEARNING (M-LEARNING) In this paper, it will be discussing on the Mobile Learning in Malaysia, the benefits and problems. It also focusing on the scenario in integrated the mobile learning. Besides, the relationships between education and mobile learning are discussed in details. Suggestions are given to make the MLearning can be applied in Malaysia. PEMBELAJARAN MASA DEPAN MOBILE LEARNING (M-LEARNING) DI MALAYSIA. Dalam kertas kerja ini membincangkan tentang perkembangan Pembelajaran MLearning di Malaysia, faedah serta masalah yang dihadapi dalam mengintegrasikan alatan mudah alih dengan senario pendidikan. Selain itu, kaitan pendidikan dengan teknologi mudah alih turut dibincangkan dengan lebih terperinci. Cadangan untuk menjayakan kaedah pendidikan M-Learning juga diutarakan bagi mengaplikasikan teknik ini di Malaysia.

LITERATURE RIVIEW The research on Mobile Learning is limited in Malaysia compare to other countries in the world. Kajian tentang Mobile learning di negara kita masih kurang. Kebanyakkan kajian tentang Mobile learning lebih banyak dilakukan di luar Negara. Mahamad, Saipunidzam Ibrahim, Mohammad Noor Foad , Izzriq Ab Malek Mohd Taib, Shakirah., Open Source Implementation of M-Learning for Primary School in Malaysia. International Journal of Social Sciences. 2008; 3-4, in their study which involved primary school pupils age 11 and 12 years old. System mobile devices technologies tested for the purpose to monitor and keep track the performance of the students in learning Mathematics. This system is not to replace traditional classroom but to complement the learning process. In a testing conducted, students who used this system performed better in their examination. The data collected from 105 undergraduate students and analysed using Rasch Model. The result indicated that most of the respondents were satisfied with Mobile learning. The items that showed the higher satisfaction are relates to the study material, important notes, reminder can reach them daily. Besides, they highly agreed that Mobile learning has helped them pace their studies in distance learning courses

A RECENT STUDY The purpose of the study is to identify Mobile Learning readiness among working adult learners in Malaysia.

Kajian ini dilakukan untuk mengenalpasti a study on Mobile Learning readiness among working adult learners in Malaysia.
Population: The population is limit in Federal Territory of Labuan. Tempat kajian: Kajian ini dilakukan di wilayah persekutuan Labuan. Respondents: There are 30 Distance Learning students involve in this research. Responden: Seramai 30 orang pelajar yang sedang mengikuti pendidikan jarak jauh telah dipilih untuk menyertai kajian ini.

Instruments Data is collected using questionnaire which will be given to the respondents. A set of questionnaire is attached. Instrumen kajian: Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah borang soal selidik untuk pengutipan data. Set soalan soal selidik ( Lampiran 1 ) diberikan kepada responden dan dikutip semula setelah respondan selesai mengisi. Data Analysis: Data collected is code and the input will be generating in the computer by using Microsoft Word. Analisis Data: Maklumat yang diperolehi dikodkan dan inputnya dimasukkan di dalam computer dengan mengunakan perisian pemprosesan perkataan. Data-data kemudian dianalisis dengan bantuan computer dan dalam analisis ini, hanya taburan frekuensi dalam bentuk bilangan dan peratusan sahaja diambil kira.

Berdasarkan graf tersebut di dapati bahawa 100% daripada 30 responden mempunyai kemudahan handphone. 90 daripadanya mempunyai aplikasi 3G service.

Didapati 73.33% responden strong agree bahawa mobile learning adalah satu cara yang baik untuk meningkatkan tahap akedemik mereka. Selebihnya 26.66% sekadar bersetuju.

A total 96.66 percents respondents access the internet through telephone and 3.44 percents never used telephone to access to internet. Sejumlah 96.66% responden pernah mengakses internet menggunakan telefon dan 3.44% tidak pernah menggunakan telefon untuk mengakses internet. From the questionnaire, respondents have the knowledge about M-learning and they are interested to know more about it. Their hand phones have the 3G applications; MMS and video call which able them to access the internet. They also had experience access internet through mobile phone and not facing difficulty to study by mobile learning.

Rumusan daripada soal selidik yang dijalankan, didapati bahawa responden mempunyai pengetahuan berkenaan M-learning dan berminat untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut berkenaan kaedah ini. Kemudahan telefon milik responden mempunyai pelbagai aplikasi seperti 3G, MMS dan video call. Aplikasi telefon ini membolehkan mereka mengakses internet. Responden mempunyai pengalaman mengakses internet melalui telefon dan tidak sukar bagi responden untuk mengikuti pengajaran secara mobile learning.

CONCLUSION In conclusion based on population of the study, mobile learning can be accepted as the new methos of teaching. Electronic method had been used in various university and collages in Malaysia. It improve the students academic and beneficial to them. (Syed Ardi Bin Syed Yahya

Kaedah berasaskan elektronik ini telah diterapkan di beberapa universiti dan kolej di Malaysia dan telah menunjukkan kesan yang baik dalam prestasi akademik pelajar .
