University located at N. Bacalso Avenue, Cebu, Philippines, conscious of the need of the organization that will embody our ideals, promote our welfare, and develop lasting unity and cooperation, do hereby bind ourselves into an organization that will bring us total awareness of our principles and realization of our objectives. Article I The Name of the Organization Section 1. The organization shall be named Psychology Society (Psych Society) herein referred to as Psych Society. Section 2. It shall be composed of all Psychology majors of the College of Arts and Sciences of Cebu Institute of Technology University.

Article II Declaration of Principles Section 1. The organization believes that the well-being of every one is essential in the growth and development of each member. Section 2. The organization believes that the unity and cooperation among its members will serve as a moving spirit that will aid in the achievement of goals and objectives. Section 3. The organization believes that the members loyalty and dedication is essential for the realization of its objectives. Article III Objectives Section 1. To enhance intellectual welfare, social awareness and healthy interaction among its members. Section 2. To provide academic assistance to the members of the organization. Section 3. To facilitate growth and initiate activities that will be beneficial to the internal growth and development of the members.

All Psychology majors of the College of Arts and Sciences of Cebu Institute of Technology- University will autmatically become a member of the Psych Society. Article V Duties and Responsibilities Section 1. Duties and responsibilities of the officers A. President. The President is the highest officer in the organization. He or she shall preside over meetings and consult with the advisers and other executive officers of the Psych Society regarding the decision of the organization. He/she is tasked as well to appoint two representatives for the first year. B. Vice-President: a. Take the place of the President in case of incapacity or inability. b. Be the delegate of the President in case of absence.

c. Assist the President in carrying out the objectives and policies of the society and in all matters where his/her assistance may be required. d. Be responsible for the relationship among members of the society and expansion membership. e. Perform such other duties and functions as may be provided by the Psych Society law. C. Secretary. He or she shall keep the records of all the minutes of the meetings and shall update the officers of the organization about events, plans, etc of the organization. D. Treasurer a. Have custody of the funds of the society. b. Deposit in the name of the Psych Society in any local bank of good reputation the funds of the society. c. To prepare the financial reports of all the collections and expenses of the society. d. Receive and keep all the receipts issued for account of the society. e. Sign all financial transactions of the Psych Society together with the President. f. Submit a report to the President and the Auditor of the receipts and expenditures of the Psych Society every last meeting of the month.

g. Perform such other duties which the President may assign him from time to time. E. Auditor a. Examine, audit and settle all accounts, funds, and properties of the society. b. Have exclusive authority, subject to the limitations in this Article, to define the scope of his audit and examination, establish the techniques required thereof and promulgate accounting and auditing rules and regulations for the prevention and disallowance of irregular, unnecessary, extravagant or excessive expenditure or uses of funds and properties. c. Record the financial account of the society in the proper books or journal, and report to the President any anomaly or irregularity in the distribution of the societys funds or use of properties. d. Submit to the President a semestral financial report of the expenditures of the society. e. Perform such other duties which the President may assign him from time to time. F. Press Relation Officer a. To act as the liaison officer of the society. b. To communicate to the outside world the activities of the Society.

Article VI Administration Section 1. The affairs of the organization shall be under the administration and guidance of the officers and the advisers. Section 2. The officer would consist of the President, Vice President Internal, Vice President External, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, 2 Press Relation Officers, 2 to 3 representatives of each year level. Section 3. Qualifications for candidacy A. Candidates must have at least one semester residence in the College of Arts and Sciences. B. He or she must be carrying a minimum load of 18 academic units except for graduating students C. He or she must pass all his or her subjects and has no mark of NC in the semester preceding his or her candidacy. D. Must be of good moral character as certified to by at least 2 faculty members of the College of Arts and Sciences. Section 4. The officer shall hold office for a term of one academic year after which, new set of officers will be elected.

Section 5. Of the event of vacancy of the office of the President by reasons of removal, resignation, shifting of course and transfer of school, which discharge him or her from his or her duties, the Vice President Internal will automatically temporarily take the position of the President. Article VII Elections Section 1. Elections will be done in the month of February. Section 2. The advisers with the officers not running on the said election will preside over the elections. Section 3. An outgoing officer may be re-elected into office in the succeeding election provided that he/she satisfies the qualifications for candidacy found on Article VI, Section 3. Article VIII Punishments/Sanctions Section 1. Any officer including the representatives who failed to attend a meeting shall be fined ten pesos (P10.00).

Section 2. Any officer and member who failed to attend on a General Assembly shall submit an excuse letter together with his/her proofs and evidences to the Chair of the College of Arts and Sciences and shall be fined ten pesos (P10.00). Section 3. Money collected from the fines shall automatically be included in the funds of the organization. Article IX Organizations Fund Section 1. The organization may conduct fund raising activities to generate funds for the organizations use. Section 2. The collected or raised funds for the organization shall be used to finance the organizations activities. Section 3. A report of receipts, expenditures and expenses of the organizational activities shall be presented and a similar written report shall be kept in file.

Article X Activities Section 1. For the activities of the organization, Psych Society members shall be formed to take charge of the logistics of such activities. Section 2. The activities of the organization shall consist of academic, school based as well as civic oriented activities that are in accordance of the objectives of the organization. Section 3. During off-campus activities, members will be deemed responsible of themselves. Section 4. Records of all activities including receipts, expenditures, accounts, letter of approval and solicitation specimen shall be kept in file for documentation purposes.

Article XI Meetings and General Assembly Section 1. Official meetings of the Psych Society shall be held every second (2nd) and fourth (4th) Saturday of the month of the school year to promote continuous communications and updates in the plans and activities of the organization. Section 2. The president or any other officers can call an emergency meeting if its deemed necessary. Section 3. For a meeting to be valid, one-half plus one of the total number of officers must be present. Section 4. For a general assembly to be valid, one-half of the total number of members must be present. Section 5. Attendance is a must in all meetings.

Article XII Advisers Section 1. Any Psychology Faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences of Cebu Institute of Technology University is eligible to become the adviser of the organization with the consent and acceptance of the person concerned and the approval of the Psych Society members. Section 2. The advisers shall act as a consultant in the facilitation of activities planned by the organization. Section 3. There shall be at least two advisers for the Psych Society. Section 4. The advisers shall see to it that organization, as a whole shall at all times abide by the existing laws of the higher governing student organization.
