Act of Contrition O, my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended you. I detest all my sins because of your just punishment, but most of all because they offend you, my God, who are all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve,

with the help of Your grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin. ~~~~~~

The Lord's Prayer

Magnificat

Act of Contrition
School Prayer God, our Father, Creator of all good things in the world and within our school community: We thank you for the gift of this day, for our families and friends and for this safe place to learn and grow. My soul doth magnify the Lord : and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded : the lowliness of his handmaiden. For behold, from henceforth : all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath magnified me : and holy is his Name. And his mercy is on them that fear him : throughout all generations. He hath showed strength with his arm : he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seat : and hath exalted the humble and meek. He hath filled the hungry with good things : and the rich he hath sent empty away. He remembering his mercy hath holpen his servant Israel : as he promised to our forefathers, Abraham and his seed, for ever. Glory be to the Father, As it was in the beginning Amen. St. Luke I. ~~~~~~

We ask You to bless all who teach and learn. Through Your Holy Spirit, guide us as we grow in faith and love and give us the courage to be more like Your Son. We ask this, in Jesus' name. Amen The Lord's Prayer Our Father who art in heaven; Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven; Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil; For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

The Sign of the Cross

I open my hand and touch my brow,

In the name of the Father

I say.

Come bless me, God, come bless me, bless me in every way.

The Hail Mary

by Victor Hoagland, C.P.

Bless me, Jesus, bless my heart that I may love everyone.

I touch my shoulders left and right,

and of the Holy Spirit

In heaven God said, "One day I will send my Son to help all people and show them how to live. And I choose Mary to be the mother of Jesus, my Son. So God sent his angel Gabriel to Mary and the angel said:
Hail Mary,

I say.
Amen

The angel Gabriel visited Mary in Nazareth, in Galilee. The angel said to Mary that God loved her. She was
O God, thank you, for all I have this day.
full of grace,

God's hand's in mine as I bless myself, God in heaven above,

The angel Gabriel told Mary that God, who was in heaven so far away, had come to be close to her. She was to be the mother of Jesus. The angel said,

the Lord is with you.

Our Father,

After the angel left her, Mary went to visit her cousin Elizabeth. her cousin knew how good God was to Mary. Elizabeth said,
Blessed are you among women

We cannot see God with our eyes. God is far beyond us, in heaven. But God hears us and wants us to come near. And so we pray:
who art in heaven,

Mary's cousin Elizabeth knew that Mary was going to be the Mother of Jesus Christ. Elizabeth said,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

We honor God's name as holy. When we hear the name of God we should be happy because God made all things. God made us and loves us. And so we pray:
hallowed be thy name.

We pray to Mary because she is so close to God, and because she is so close to her Son, Jesus Christ. And so we say,
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners

God wishes to bring good things to our world. And we can help by doing good things every day. And so we pray:
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Like a good mother, Mary always hears us when we call to her. She hears us now, at this very moment; and when we come to the last moment of our life. And so we pray,
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God is like a kind father. We need food to be strong; clothes to be beautiful and warm, and so many things more. And so we pray:
Give us this day our daily bread

The Our Father: the Lord's Prayer

by Victor Hoagland, C.P.

God forgives us when we do something wrong. But then we must forgive those who do something wrong to us. And so we pray:
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who

Here is the prayer Jesus taught us. He said that God is his Father and our Father. And so we pray with Jesus and with people everywhere:

trespass against us.

Wherever we go, God is there to take our hand and guide us. Even in danger, God

will help us to know what to do. And so we pray:

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.
