Territorial Reign
Knowing Your Enemy in Your Territory
By SovahReign for HiKulcha Ink 2010

Greetings Kingdom Soldiers! In the last issue we discussed Understanding the Territory. Amidst this topic we discussed the practicality of spiritual mapping and how this school of thought is beneficial to us as we prepare to invade the territories that we have been assigned to. One of the major components that we need to survey about a territory is its known enemies. This type of investigation is imperative for our success to gain and keep momentum in effecting change in any given territory. Obviously there are unknown enemies, but we generally are overtaken and swept away by what is familiar and common to us. We see people made victim to the same predators, one behind another (as if we did not witness the initial and consecutive attacks). Christ, the King of Kings has charged us to invade, take over, and transform these territories and now it is time that we prepare by studying our adversaries. Territorial reign is the final outcome to the Kingdom of God, however, we are in the process of this being made manifest. The process to reign is warfare. Any military worth its salt functions only en concert with the governments intelligence agency. In America, our military actions are only carried out after the CIA has been employed to serve first. In all warfare, no action should be taken until the adversary has been well studied out. Any attack or ploy of defense is considered ineffective without proper knowledge of an enemy. There is a common saying, You dont bring a knife to a gunfight! This simply points out that we should always be knowledgeable about our enemy and never let the enemy have an advantage over us. When we are in motion to go into a territory, our minds should be working like that of the CIA. The CIA prides itself on the fact that they are the nations first line of defense. Their mission is carried out by Collecting information that reveals the plans, intentions and capabilities of our adversaries and provides the basis for decision and action. (www.cia.gov) We must be always knowledgeable about our enemys strengths and weaknesses. Knowing the weaknesses of our enemy gives us an advantage and a target area to infiltrate. Knowing the strengths of our adversary should never intimidate us, but allow us to prepare better and plan the strategies of how we will engage in battle. We must remain focused on our objective when we are in the process of collecting intel. We can recall the circumstances that the children of Israel were in when they were seeking to invade a territory, a territory already promised to them by God. (Continues on next page.)

God had commanded Moses to send some of the men from each tribe to Canaan to gather some intel. They gathered information about the land itself but additionally they brought back information about the inhabitants their enemies. Many of the men did not view the information as favorable but began to spread about a fear because the men that occupied the land already were large and strong. (Read Numbers 13) When God gives us an opportunity to gain knowledge about our adversary, we should always view the information from an advantageous point of view. We should always have a mind like Caleb who responded with a matter-of-fact call to action with an assurance that victory was inevitable. Again, Calebs assurance came from God. This is the same place that we should get our assurance. God has charged us to invade these territories just as He did so many times with the children of Israel. These territories are: economic, arts and entertainment, religion, education, family, and government. As a member of the Kingdom Music Family, we are in the territory of arts and entertainment. He is setting us on a path of preparation. Now we must study our natural and spiritual opposition and learn how to defend against them. Defense is the best offense and intelligence is the best defense. Let us not be destroyed for our lack of knowledge! Remember Territorial Reign means Territorial

PREACH THE WORD!

By Kalisha A. Wachira

2 Tim 4: I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. (NKJV)

I like this passage of scripture where Paul encourages Timothy to preach the word of God. He says to be ready in season and out of season. To me that means to be ready to preach the Word at all times; not just on Sundays and not just during certain times of the year where you feel that people will be more inclined to hear about Godbut at ALL times. It must become our custom to preach the Word as it was Pauls custom (Acts 17:2). Paul then goes on to say convince, rebuke and exhort lets take a look at what those words mean.

Convince- to persuade by argument or evidence Rebuke- to express stern disapproval of Exhort- to urge earnestly; advise strongly

When it comes to convincing others of the Gospel of Christ, the Word of God speaks for itself. However, in order to use the word of God as a tool, you have to know the Word. That is why it is important to study (to show yourself approved) on a regular basis. In conjunction with the Word, our life can be evidence of the goodness of Jesus. Everybody has a story of where God has brought them from, and how you live your life today can be a witness that Jesus is real and he lives in you and can live in anyone who will accept Him as their Lord and Savior. The second word Paul uses is rebuke. Oooh to some (saved or unsaved) that sounds like a four letter word, but it a word that is essential to growth and maturity. For example, if your parents never scolded younever corrected you when you did something wronghow would you have turned out? Enough said! It is impossible to head in the right direction without correction. We are human sometimes we veer off path and as Paul stated in Galatians chapter 6, if a man is overtaken in any trespass (sin), you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness considering yourself lest you also be tempted.

The last word, exhort, means to advise strongly or to urge seriously. The Bible is not a book of suggested principles from which we can choose to follow or not. Im going to pay my tithes and offerings Im going to go to church but Im going to have premarital sex with my boyfriend/girlfriend. It doesnt work like that! Now of course we have free will but EVERY action has a consequence and when it comes to sharing the Word of God you must strongly advise that this is THE standard of living not whatever your convictions are No! If the Word of God says it then it is so! God is not only looking for those that will worship Him in spirit and in truth but for those that will teach the truth as well. Paul went on to say that the time is coming, but I believe that the time has come where man will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. The NIV says that they will be turned aside to myths (ie. Gospel of inclusion, Gods acceptance of homosexuality, St. Nicholas). We cant let this happen! We must be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill our ministry! Preach the Word!!! Think about it

KINGDOM MUSIC FESTIVAL 2011 GUEST SPEAKER

Karla K. Francisco Harvest of Judah Fellowship

Karla K. Francisco, pastor of Harvest of Judah Fellowship, began her teaching ministry in 1979 as a Sunday school teacher. She has been teaching the bible for 32 years, and served with her husband, Steven Francisco, as an Associate Pastor for 14 years in Hampton, VA. In January of 2004, she and Pastor Steven were sent to Isle of Wight County, VA to plant a new congregation. However, on July 6th, 2004, only 6 months after being sent to plant a new church, her husband, Steven Francisco, died his earthly death and was promoted to the Kingdom of Heaven. This was totally unexpected and Pastor Karla was faced with the greatest and most painful challenges of her life: having to continue life without her childhood sweetheart and best friend, Steven, the only man she had ever known and loved, seeing their 22 year marriage of love, unity, and devotion, come to an abrupt end, facing the reality of now being a single mother to their 3 children, and struggling with the promise she had made to Steven, to carry on the ministry, should something ever happen to him. But during her darkest hour, as always, God began to minister to her in a profound and personal way, letting her know He was with her and fully in control of all that had happened. God then anointed and strengthened her to minister to and encourage others as she stood with the courage and strength of Joshua delivering her own husbands eulogy at his Homegoing Celebration. Next, Pastor Karla began seeking God concerning the direction He would have her take in leading the ministry. Being a woman whose greatest passion is loving God for who is, and demonstrating our love through worship, it was no surprise that this became the primary focus of her ministry. Her leadership style is quite different from that of other pastors. HOJF is a prayer based ministry based on (Isaiah 56:7, and Mark 11:17) in which Jesus said, My house shall be a house of prayer for all people. Praise and worship, the highest forms of prayer, take top priority. Through many personal struggles, Pastor Karla learned the power of prayer and intercession, and to live by faith. She learned to war in the spirit waging major victories for her family. She is a powerful intercessor who knows the value and importance of saturating a ministry in prayer. Pastor Karla earned a Bachelors degree in elementary education and Masters Degree in secondary education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. She lives in Chesapeake, VA with her family.
