• HISG is a humanitarian organization. HISG specializes in private sector resource
mobilization and management. Their motto is: “We connect resources to needs”. As a
non-governmental organization, HISG provides support services to US and
international for-profit and non-profit organizations for crisis response and
humanitarian developmental initiatives.
• Since 2001, HISG has mobilized and moved over $20 Million in humanitarian aid at
less than 1% handling costs. Having prototyped new and innovative solutions, HISG has
established an institutional capability to mobilize and manage private sector resource
capacity. HISG has now networked over 45 warehouses across the USA to work
collaboratively to aid the poor and needy around the world.

Laying a foundation of terms, definitions and concepts of disasters and

10.30 - 11.15 : Discussion and Application of Concepts
Break out - discussion of concepts and opportunities to explore areas
of interest and focus of the participants.
11.15 - 12.00 : Ingredients of the Network, #1 + #2
Focus on the first two of three key ingredients of International Disaster
Response (IDR)
12.00 - 12.45 : Ingredients of the Network, #3 and ICS
Focus on the third of the three key ingredients of IDR and lay a basic
foundational understanding of the "Incident Command System".
12.45 - 14.00 : Lunch Break
14.00 - 14.45 : Features of the Network
"Features of the IDR Network", showing what elements are involved
and necessary from the incidence of a disaster up to and through both
a Partner Command Post and a fully established Forward Operating
Center (FOC) with attendant aspects necessary for Warehousing,
Staging and Distribution.
14.45 - 15.00 : Coffee Break
15.00 - 15.45 : Steps to IDRN Partnership and Membership
Five steps of how organizations, denominations and other groups can become
a member and participate in a global network of partners to bring a
coordinated effort in International Disaster Relief.
