s. Thesecoursesaredesignedtohelpstudentsdevelopbasiclistening,speaking,readingandwritingskillsinSpanishand toprovidethemwithanintroductiontotheculturesoftheSpanishspeakingworld. Becauselearningalanguagerequiresbeingexposedtolargeamountsofthatlanguageandgettingaccustomedto communicatinginthatlanguage,itishighlyrecommendedthatyoutrytousetheSpanishlanguageinall communicationswithyourteacherandfellowstudents,andoutsidethelearningplatform(Blackboard).Studentsshould notexpecttocomprehendeverywordthattheirinstructorwritesandsays;insteadtheyshouldtrytousewhattheydo knowtotrytocomprehendtheoverallmeaning.Afterafewweeks,theyshouldunderstandmuchmore.Inaddition, studentsshouldbesuretoaskquestionswhentheydonotunderstand.Studentswhoarehavingdifficultyarealso encouragedtorequestadditionalexplanationsduringtheirinstructors'officehoursorontheplatformforums.
