Information regarding Wednesday, 25th April

During Wednesdays morning (depending on the info you provide us with later on when sending the travel forms), two organisers will be at the Francisco S Carneiros Airport to pick up the foreign officials and accompany them to the transfer to Lamego. It is essential that youre able to arrive during the morning since as there will be a CJO training/teambuilding during the afternoon, in Lamego. There will be an Officials Eurovillage on Wednesday night so make sure you bring typical food, beverages or any other traditional element of your own countries. Moments of the session

Pre-Session
With our most recent changes to our National Selection Conferences, the only moments of the session which are prepared beforehand are the Portuguese Village and the Euroconcert. This means that for the Chairs, the Pre-Session work will consist of contributing to the Preparation Kit, once the Chairs and resolution topics are picked. More information on the distribution of chairs per prefered committee will be given later on. Delegates prepare for the topic they pick.

Portuguese Village
Activity which intends to divulge and share the typical gastronomic products of the regions where the different delegations come from. The youngsters are also encouraged to share cultural aspects, such as typical costumes, dances and documentation of the region.

Opening Ceremony
Solemn moment of the session, with the presence of various important Portuguese and European entities, in which the Session is officially opened. In this ceremony the ambassador of each delegation must present a text about his/ her school and city he/she comes from. This speech should have the maximum size of an A4 page and must be written in English. The delegates must wear formal clothing.

Teambuilding
Interactive games with the purpose of making the various elements of the group get to know each other and create a group dynamic.

Euroconcert
Activity which promotes cultural enrichment: one or more elements of each delegation will perform, on stage, a musical piece, sketch or dance number, with the maximum lenght of 15 minutes.

Committee Work
Work developed between the chair and the delegation with the objective of creating a motion for a resolution on the Committees Topic and promoting debate, so as to prepare the delegates for the defense of their motion and for the debate of the others. The skills acquired at this moment, through debate, discution, persuasion and negotiation, will be essential to them in the future.
