Knowledgeable of forklift, squeeze lift, standup lift, cherry picker, high and l ow table, Fischers, beg unit, body ply, belt resizer, and bead former operation. Operate electrical, diesel, or gasoline powered forklifts from 4,000 pound to 2 5,000 pound capacity. Drive forklifts in and out of congested production team ar eas, in and out of the various holding areas, in close quarters and confined are as, and in outside storage areas to place equipment, material, and component par ts needed for the work being performed. Make precise placement of material, equi pment, and component parts in congested areas. Determine if one or two forklifts and/or attachments are needed, such as fork extensions for the material or equi pment being moved. Load and unload material and component parts into assigned wa rehouse storage bins with a maximum clearance of 2". Operate 10,000 pound, 15,00 0 pound, and 25,000 pound forklifts to move, place or transport the heavier over sized pieces of material or equipment and lift higher than 168 inches wherever t he occasion arises. Operate warehouse tractor in towing and placing wheel-mounte d equipment. Perform operators maintenance, checking oil, batteries, and tires, on a daily basis. Rotate duties between Tire Uniformity Optimizer and G rind line and relieves current grind line operator for breaks and lunch. Attend Alarms, Sorter stoppages and out of Q condition. Respond to poor grind quality reported by grind line operator, makes appropriate grinder setup changes as needed. Maintain a clean and orderly work station. Adj ust tire flow, Tire Uniformity Optimizer reassignment when needed, due to unsche duled Tire Uniformity Optimizer downtime. Monitor individual Tire Uniformity Opt imizer reject conveyors, assuring proper documentation is on sidewall of tire be fore forwarding to reclass. Request electronics, electrical and or mechanical su pport through the MAPS maintenance system. Attend to conveyor malfunctions and s tock jams to maintain production flow. Cross checks tires on other uniformity ma chines to insure that good tires are not downgraded or bad tires passed. Run CV check tires for radial department, record reading, and call results to appropria te people. Review sample for Quality Systems and records readings. Inspect and m easure all components to make their in specifications. Inspect green tire by mea suring tread width and sidewall dimensions with gauge. Weigh tires for conforman ce to specified tolerance. Motivate new crew members to accomplish high producti on rates while maintaining high safety methods and practices. Mark and label tir es during production process. Knowledgeable of PCI machine operation to provide quality control. Accountable for checking barcodes before shipments. Serve as th e last line of defense to inspect tires before tires are shipped to customers. E nsure fluid motion of production lines. Check machinery to ensure rubber meets t ire specifications. Book mixed rubber in preparation for transporting to the nex t department. Monitor mixing process to make sure correct dies and rubber are se t. Operate industrial tug to remove booked rubber from the production line.
