FAMILY COPING INDEX Areas Rate Justification Statement Each family member of the Garcia family is capable of doing

their activities of daily living without the assistance of others. They dont always seek for consultation every time a family member gets sick. They do not carry all the procedures or treatments given because of lack of time for their selves. All members of the family have a little knowledge on the health condition that runs in their family. Like Adelina she knows that she is a candidate for cataract operation but she refused to have the operation. The family is failing to apply some general principles of hygiene such as walking barefooted. Even though they are aware that a family member has illness they do not bring him/her immediately to the RHU for consultation. Their family has a good interpersonal relationship with their neighbors and they dont have a hard time dealing with other people. Family members also know how to express their emotions at the right situation. Their family has a good relationship within them though they also experience problems which cause misunderstanding in the family. However they still find ways to solve it. Their house needs some repair, not wellarranged facilities, untidy environment and presence of hazardous things inside the house like the scattered bottle containers and their stairs without rails. The family doesnt always seek consultation in the RHU whenever family member experience problems with their health.
