PM SHAME JUST DOESNT GET IT

OTTAWA ON With the new session of the House of Commons just days away, Prime Minister Shane Mackenzie has once again proven that hes not up to the job. We already know that the Ideological Pragmatist Party is not fit to govern. They were the last major party to release their electoral platform, waiting until months after the election to do so. The only thing clear from the IPPs platform is that they intend to pursue a tax and spend agenda. Canadians did not vote for this. Canadians did not vote for a job-killing carbon tax, one that will raise prices on practically everything. Canadians did not vote for an unnecessary Ontario-centric transportation plan which, if ever realized to its full potential, would still exclude 40% of the country, including the entire east coast of Canada. Has Prime Minister Mackenzie answered the tough questions that Canadians have been asking of him? No. For months, Prime Minister Mackenzie has been playing a perpetual game of hide-and-seek with Canadians, refusing to participate in a televised leaders debate, refusing to answer questions from the media, and refusing to partake in policy discussions with the opposition parties, including the Atlantic Alliance. This is despite the fact that the Ideological Pragmatist Party holds only a slim plurality of seats in the House of Commons, and is facing historically low levels of support among the Canadian public. In the late hours of January 17, 2012, the Prime Ministers Office released a press release attacking the Atlantic Alliance. He criticizes our party for attempting to hold his government to account, despite the fact that it has been his government which has been missing in action since the election. Our party, unlike the governing IPP, has reached out to constituents in new ways, including the use of two-way social media such as Facebook and Twitter. Our advertisements, including the critically acclaimed Wheres PM Shame campaign, funded entirely through donations from party supporters to the Screech Aficionados of Canada, the fundraising arm and registered agent of the Atlantic Alliance party, have further served to connect with Canadians disappointed with both the policies and inaction of the government. The Prime Ministers partisan attack, by comparison, was released through his office and funded entirely by taxpayers dollars, yet another irresponsible use of tax dollars by this IPP government. Its no wonder they want to raise taxes. The Atlantic Alliance is a national political party born on the east coast, and presently headquartered in Ottawa, with elected Members of Parliament in eight provinces from coast-to-coast. The AA 12-Step Plan is the only comprehensive plan of any major political party to get our country back on track. The Atlantic Alliance presently forms Her Majestys Loyal Opposition in the House of Commons. ### Contact: Corey Michaels, M.P.
