net Summary: Research scientist with comprehensive experience in academia and industry strong analytical and problem solving abilities, can learn new skills quickly, able to work independently and within a team, open-minded and easily adapted in multicultural environment. Objectives: Seeking an R&D engineer / research scientist position to utilize my experience in: mathematics, numerical methods, computational fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, programming, and data analysis. Competencies: analysis of flow physics, evaluation of numerical methods, data processing and visualization, assessment of experimental data and model validation, planning complete simulation cycle, project management and quality assurance, coding and code tailoring for particular purposes. RESEARCH AND EXPERIENCE Jul 2008 - Present Consultant Nuclear Research and Consultancy Group (NRG), Netherlands Taking part in various projects: thermal hydraulics in the nuclear power plants, thermo-acoustics for heat pumps, turbulent mixing in complex geometries, conjugate heat transfer, fluid-structure interaction, and solid stress analysis. The activity includes project preparation, execution and management, quality assurance and reporting to the customer. Oct 2006 - Jun 2008 Research Associate Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics SB RAS, Russia Numerical modeling of the supersonic flow control with the energy deposition. The complex shock structure is evaluated and explained together with validation against experiment. Mar 2005 - Oct 2006 Research Associate Technical University of Munich (Munich, Germany) Principal contributor of the three-year project on numerical investigation of turbulent supersonic boundary layers in compression decompression ramps. Its main goal was to study the interaction of a shock wave with turbulent boundary layer. The examination confirmed irregular shock motion and development of the secondary vortex flows. A model for

turbulence amplification is proposed. A participant of a project focused on assess and better modeling of near-wall turbulence. Feb 2003 - Mar 2005 Research Associate Dresden University of Technology, Germany Starting the three-year project on turbulent supersonic boundary layers in compression and decompression corner. Performed investigation of numerical schemes behavior at marginal resolution and boundary conditions. The code was tuned for for maximum performance at vector parallel computers with explicit parallelization. Sep 2001 - Jul 2002 Research Assistant Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ), Switzerland Numerical investigation of supersonic turbulent boundary layer. The code parallel performance was investigated and improved. 1998 - 2001 Research Assistant / Ph.D. student Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics SB RAS, Russia Research on numerical modeling of three dimensional supersonic flows around wings. Performed investigation of different numerical schemes, grid resolution study, result visualization and analysis. EDUCATION Feb 2003 - Oct 2006 PhD Mechanical Engineering Technical University of Munich Large-eddy simulation of shock-wave/turbulent-boundary-layer interaction (magna cum laude) Sep 1994 - Jun 2000 MS Aerospace engineering Novosibirsk State Technical University Numerical investigation of spatial (3D) supersonic flows about lifting configuration in the framework of Euler equations (with honors) SPECIAL SKILLS Languages: Russian (native), English (advanced), German (basic), and Dutch (basic).
