It must have been difficult for Zebedee to watch his two sons walk away to follow Jesus. He probably enjoyed working side-by-side with his sons each day. Our children are not ours. Like Zebedee, we raise them to let them go. Cherish the moments you share together. (Insert graphic 1106-0086)
360 hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. In its fullest essence.....Eucharistic Adoration is "God and Man reaching out for each other, at the same time!" Barberton Area Community Ministries item for the Month of January is Potato Products, rice, noodles or box dinners. Please bring your donations when you come to Mass and place them in the bench in front of the giving tree in the vestibule, together we can help those less fortunate. Tickets will be on sale following the 4:00, 7:30, 9:00 and 11:00 Masses today, through the Rectory, or may be purchased at the door. A local restaurant is making the Mexican contribution. Other ethnic food will be included. Once again, we are asking parishioners to contribute the desserts. Pies, cakes and other goodies are desired and welcome! A "Caring and Sharing" session for those who are divorced, separated or widowed will be held on Monday, January 23 from 7:30-9:00pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary's Convent Building, 1945 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. We will continue our study of the New Testament with an introduction to St. Pauls letters. Also, mark your calendars and plan to attend the annual Answer the Call Conference Saturday, February 25. This years conference will be held at Villa Angela St. Joseph High School on Lakeshore Blvd. in Cleveland. MASS FOR LIFE Monday, January 23 at 7:00pm, Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. The Mass for Giving Thanks to God for the Gift of Human Life will be celebrated to remember the anniversary of Roe v. James 4:8 (Insert Graphic 1409-0033.tif) In two weeks we will be joining the Right to Life of Northeast Ohio and dozens of area churches in the annual Signature Media Campaign. Volunteers will be in the back of the church accepting signatures and donations for the unborn in a protest against legalized abortion. Your signature will be on a petition for life which will be sent to our legislators, and your donations will support pro-life multi-media education. If you prefer, envelopes are available in the pews for you to fill out and include your donation rather than signing the petition forms. Envelopes should be returned and put in the Sunday collection basket the weekend of February 11 & 12, 2012.

SEARCH: A RETREAT FOR HIGH SCHOOL TEENS: Search is for high school teens ages 15-18 who are interested in experiencing the Catholic faith in a dynamic way.
