The Origin of Power, Health, Happiness And Prosperity The most vital understanding one needs to acquire in order

to maximize one's relationship to one's self, to life and to the ongoing process of creation is the concept of consciousness. Consciousness is not just some by-product of the human brain mass. Consciousness is all pervasive. It is in everything and is everywhere. Your individual human consciousness exists within and is a part of a universal consciousness. This all-encompassing universal consciousness is individualized in the human being. There is no separation, but the personality or ego of the human being allows for a perceived separation and a unique perspective of the world. Your individualized consciousness enables not only an examination of the workings of your own consciousness, but also permits an examination of the cosmos and its underlying physical or natural laws which are indicative of the universal consciousness' methodology of creating, sustaining and enlivening the entire cosmos. An understanding of the methodology used by the universal will empower you to utilize the same natural laws to create your life and future. Your individualized consciousness when recognized by you is called self-consciousness. You are conscious of being conscious. This self-consciousness begets free will and the ability to choose beliefs, thoughts, feelings and action. These choices, which can be placed under your direct conscious control, create your reality. As the great Gautama Buddha so succinctly said, "We are what we think. All that we are arises from our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make our world." It is in the choices we make about how and what we think that weaves the tapestry of our reality. What do you know of your life, your reality except that this knowledge comes to you through your consciousness and your method of thinking? What do you know of the cosmos, from the infinitely large to the infinitely small, except that it comes to you through your consciousness and your method of thinking? This communication link to the universal is only available in the silence within. This understanding of the creative power of your consciousness within the ultimate creative power of the universal consciousness will lead to an understanding of the real cause of all the effects in your life; in other words you will come to see and control the cause of your life's experiences. The wisdom gained from this understanding will lead to the direct practical application in daily life of the natural laws governing creation and a profound sense of personal power. You will come to see how your creative power, when harmonized with the basic universal laws or precepts utilized by universal consciousness will enable you to be in control of all aspects of your life. You will see how to gain more in every area of your life. You will develop a power consciousness. Once you have integrated these understandings into your beingness, you will, in effect, own them and your life will be blessed with happiness, health and prosperity. You will come to see (as though the shadows of night were being illuminated by the dawn's light) that your emotions and your actions are determined by your choices. It is all there waiting for you to discover, to claim it as your own and make it manifest in your outer world of event and circumstance.

The potentialities existent in the world within will manifest in the world without (your external reality) when you focus your conscious awareness on them and utilize the same natural laws as the universal consciousness does to create. You will have achieved a harmony of thought and deed with the universal Harmony in the world within will be reflected in the world without by harmonious conditions, agreeable surroundings, the best of everything. It is the foundation of health and an essential to all greatness, all power, all attainment, all achievement and all success. Harmony in the world within means the ability to control our thoughts and to determine for ourselves how any experience is to affect us emotionally. The world without reflects the circumstances and conditions of the consciousness within. If we find wisdom in the world within, we shall have the understanding to discern the marvelous possibilities that are latent in this world within and we shall be given the power to make these possibilities manifest in the world without. All possession is the result of consciousness. All gain is the result of an accumulative consciousness. All loss is the result of a scattering consciousness . We perceive the world without, our external reality, through our senses and these sensory perceptions are recorded in the brain, becoming memory and are also imprinted in our cellular structure, affecting the very vibratory nature of our being. This outer conscious awareness is often called the objective mind or the conscious mind. We perceive the world within, our internal reality through our intuition and imagination and these perceptions are likewise recorded in the brain and imprinted in our cellular structure. Our emotions are recorded likewise in our hearts and all these subjective experiences also affect the vibratory nature of our being. This inner conscious awareness is often called the subjective mind or the subconscious mind. Imagine universal consciousness narrowing its focus through the individual by placing awareness into the individualized consciousness you call your own mind. The link to the universal consciousness can be seen as extending back from your outer conscious awareness or objective (conscious) mind through your inner conscious awareness or subjective (subconscious) mind to connect ultimately in a meditative state to universal consciousness. This knowledge is the key to human fulfillment and joy. We are related to the world without by the objective mind. The brain is the organ of this mind and the cerebrospinal system of nerves puts us in conscious communication with every part of the body. This system of nerves responds to every sensation of light, heat, odor, sound and taste. We are related to the world within by the subconscious mind. The solar plexus is the organ of this mind; the sympathetic system of nerves presides over all subjective sensations such as joy, fear, love, respiration, imagination and all other subconscious phenomena. It is through the subconscious that we are connected with the universal mind and brought into relation with the infinite constructive forces of the universe. It is the coordination of these two centers of our being and the understanding of their functions, which is the great secret of life. With this knowledge, we can bring the objective and the subjective minds into conscious cooperation and thus coordinate the finite and the infinite. Our future is entirely within our own control. It is not at the mercy of any capricious or uncertain external power.

There is but one principle or consciousness pervading the entire universe, occupying all space and being essentially the same in kind at every point of its presence. It is all powerful, all wisdom and always present. All thoughts and things are within itself. It is all in all. There is but one consciousness in the universe able to think; and when it thinks, its thoughts become objective things to it. As this consciousness is omnipresent, it must be present in every individual; each individual must be a manifestation of that omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent consciousness. The consciousness that focuses in your brain cells is the same consciousness that focuses in the brain cells of every other individual. Each individual is but the individualization of the universal. The ability of the individual to think is one's ability to act on the universal and bring it into manifestation. Therefore, when the individual thinks, the thought is compelled by its nature to embody itself in an objectivity or condition that will correspond with its origin. Every thought is therefore a cause and every condition an effect; for this reason it is absolutely essential that you control your thoughts so as to bring forth only desirable conditions. All power is from within and is absolutely under your control; it comes through exact knowledge and by the voluntary exercise of exact principles. The universal mind is the life principle of every atom that is in existence; every atom is constantly striving to manifest more life; all are intelligent, and all are seeking to carry out the purpose for which they were created. In order to express life, there must be mind; nothing can exist without mind. Everything, which exists, is some manifestation of this one basic substance from which and by which all things have been created and are continually being re-created. Thought forms the mold or matrix from which the substance expresses itself. Remember that it is in the application alone that the value consists, and that a practical understanding of this law will substitute abundance for poverty, wisdom for ignorance, harmony for discord and freedom for tyranny; and certainly, there can be no greater blessing than these from a material and social standpoint. Prior to applying this power consciousness to your life in order to create the circumstances of your choice, it is important to understand clearly what this power is. Most people's perception of power is of that which exists in the outer conscious reality or physical world: physical strength or power, economic power, political power, military power. This form of power is based on lack and limitation and is comparative in its own nature; it concludes that if one individual has power, then others are weak in comparison. This whole concept of external power is motivated by fear and leads to loss and struggle. Since this kind of power is simply the manipulation of effects, it is limited and can be lost as easily as it is won. Most people attempt to control the quality of their lives through the exercise of this kind of power. It is an attempt to control effects by using effects. Real power comes from knowing the cause of all effects and becoming causal or creative. This greater form of power is within you; it is equally available to all. It is a power that comes from developing a personal harmony of thought, emotion, intention, words and deeds a harmony of your own consciousness with the universal consciousness. Your true personal power is not controlled by exterior circumstances such as the amount of money you have in the bank or physical strength or control over others or anything external to yourself. Your true personal power is determined by how attuned you are to your self; to all aspects of yourself. This power lies within you and is only accessible through your inner conscious mind connecting with the universal consciousness in stillness and silence.

Once you have developed an understanding that all true power lies within you and once you have developed the ability to access and claim this power as your own, you will find that the events and circumstances of your life are directly within your control because you will have found access to the cause of all things. The universal mind or creative energy of the source of all things is at one with you and is accessible within you through your inner conscious mind. By learning to understand and control your own personal relationship with the universal, you will develop this true personal power and come into seeing your ability to create for yourself the life of your dreams. The choice is yours to make. This ability to choose is power and the awareness of this ability to choose is free will or power consciousness. The application in your daily life - conscious choice of thought, emotion, intention, word and deed is the exercise of your personal power. This exercise of your choice attuned with universal consciousness is the origin of health, happiness and prosperity.
