General Guidelines of Green Team PiliPinas inTernaTional inc.


Regular Membership 1. Membership to Green Team Pilipinas, hereinafter referred to as GTP, shall be open to all natural born Filipino citizens who are of legal age, residing within the Philippines or abroad, a registered voter, and of good public reputation with no criminal record. Applicants for membership shall demonstrate support to the advocacies and principles that GTP upholds and as enshrined in its constitution and by-laws. 2. Membership application has to be supported by two recommendations from regular GTP members or from leaders of the GT2010 (the precursor of GTP) network. 3. Membership application is on an individual basis only and no juridical or corporate membership is allowed. 4. Approval for membership is granted after a review either by the local chapter or by the Membership Committee in the national directorate, whichever is feasible, provided that guidelines on membership procedures are fully met. 5. Membership applications will be processed upon payment of a lifetime membership fee of One Thousand Pesos only (PhP1,000). However, if the application is declined, the applicant shall be refunded his/her membership fee. 6. Full membership status can only be granted once the applicant completed the GTP Membership Orientation Program (G-MOP), the conduct of which shall be determined by the number of applicants in one area or chapter for cost efficiency purposes. 7. Upon granting of full membership status, members shall enjoy all the rights and privileges accorded to full members, including the right to vote and be voted in elections. 8. Members shall swear and therefore are expected to uphold and fulfill their obligations, duties and responsibilities to the organization, their communities, and to the country as dutiful and law-abiding citizens. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Each member shall adhere to the all the rules, regulations, guidelines, duties and responsibilities as embodied in the Membership Manual, otherwise known as the Green Book to be issued to all regular dues-paying members. 2. Each member shall pay an annual dues, the amount of which shall be determined by each chapter where they belong based on the economic realities of their area and by the number of activities that each chapter planned to be funded. However, the National Council shall set a minimum amount for annual dues and may amend it from time to time as the need may arise. 3. Each member shall actively participate in all official internal and external chapter activities and undertakings, including but not limited to: regular meetings, outreach programs, advocacy and information, education and communications (IEC) work, networking and alliance-building, fund-raising, continuous membership campaign, and other activities that each chapter or the national council deem vital for the promotion and continued and sustained growth and development of the entire GTP organization. 4. Each member shall all contribute in any way and in any manner he or she can to the promotion of the centrist democratic principles, values, and advocacies, as well as traditions that the GTP as an organization cherishes and has sworn to uphold. 5. Each member shall respect the cultural, ethnic, linguistic and religious diversity that exists among members and chapters and shall work towards tolerance and harmonious coexistence among themselves amidst all these differences. 6. Each member shall work to promote a positive image and protect the integrity and interests of GTP and shall not in any manner or by any means engage in activities that are inimical to the organization and its members, most especially so by using the name of the organization. Rights and Privileges 1. Each regular, dues-paying, and good-standing member is entitled to vote and be voted upon in an election which is held on a regular basis as mandated by the Corporation Law of the Philippines. 2. Each member has the right to demand from the officers accountability on finances and other matters for the sake of integrity and transparency, including access to financial records of the organization as may be warranted. 3. Each member shall enjoy equal access to facilities and equipment of the organization, including GTP copyrighted materials, provided all existing copyright infringement laws and regulations are fully adhered to. 4. Each member or chapter shall enjoy the right to determine activities based on their capacities, including their capacity to fund such activities, provided that these activities fall within the ambit and among the priorities of GTP. 5. Each member is entitled to whatever benefits that GTP in the future may accord its members without discrimination as to his or her gender, age, ethnicity, and religion. 6. Each member is entitled to due process and fair arbitration in cases of violation of any, some, or all of the provisions of the GTP rules, regulations, duties, and responsibilities whereby he or she faces appropriate disciplinary action. Chapter Guidelines 1. At least twenty (20) dues-paying members shall be organized, with a complete set of officers as prescribed to form a chapter, whose accreditation shall be subject to approval upon review by the National Council. 2. For a local chapter, the following positions shall be filled up: chapter coordinator, deputy coordinator, membership, finance officer, programs and policies officer, operations officer, marketing officer, public affairs officer, secretary, and treasurer. 3. The National Council has the sole authority to deny, hold in abeyance, and revoke accreditation of a chapter on valid grounds. 4. All of the preceding provisions therein shall apply to local chapter membership.
