Fantasies to Faith in Ukraine!

Dear Friend of TEAR and prayer partner,

Fourteen years ago, the national Ministry of Education in Russia welcomed TEAR to organize a Christmas art contest in orphanages across all 11 time zones. The Lord graciously called five American businessmen to partner with me and travel to Moscow to meet with high officials and to commit financially toward this unique Evangelistic outreach. During these fourteen years, TEAR has reached over half a million children with the true meaning of Christmas and the Person of Jesus Christ. Now for the first time, a new door has swung widely open, allowing TEAR the remarkable opportunity to organize another Christmas art contest among students in public schools of Western Ukraine. This past November, I met with government officials from the Department of Education to present this opportunity. Their response wasnt a matter of yes or no, but when. The officials were so excited about the proposal that they were ready to begin as soon as the meeting ended! Close to 100,000 students, ages 11 to 14, are expected to participate annually in the region of Lviv alone. This is almost three times larger than the aggregate of all the orphanages in Russia! This means that the same number of families will also be residually exposed to the Gospel Truth in that region of Ukraine. The Department would like to make this a pilot for a couple of years. If it is the success that they and TEAR expect, they would welcome the expansion of the program to the national level. If that happens, God willing, TEAR will have the opportunity to share the Gospel with over 2.5 million homes annually in the entire Ukraine! In order to accomplish this noble task, TEAR needs your help. $35,000 annually is needed to run the contest in Ukraine and bring ten winners to the United States for the next three years. The good news is that a commitment has been made to match funds on the first $17,500 to reach the goal of $35,000 for the first year through a family of long time friends to TEAR. This means your gift can be doubled by our God through our friends!

I grew up in the former USSR and the same Department of Education that was 100% against God, was once promoting atheism and persecuting every Christian student, is now enthusiastically opening doors for the Gospel.
