Installation wizard
An installation wizard will guide you step-by-step through the installation process,
prompting for information where needed. During the installation procedure, the
program files are copied to your hard disk and a program group is created. This
group contains the icons of the Motorola Phone Tools application and will be
accessible from the Start menu (located on the taskbar).
After installation, the online registration wizard is automatically launched (see
Online Registration, page 7). The registration is necessary to benefit from the
guarantee, the technical assistance, and free upgrades.
Depending on the operating system, when the installation process is completed,
the installation wizard prompts you to restart your computer so that all system
changes take effect.
The Add a shortcut to the desktop to start the program box is checked by de-
fault. If you prefer to start Motorola Phone Tools from the Start menu in the task-
bar, remove the check. If you keep that option, the following icon can be added to
the desktop, as a shortcut, to start the program:
At first launch, the software automatically launches the Motorola Live Update and
checks for any software updates.
