Javelin is the worlds most versatile, lethal, man-portable medium-range close-combat assault and surveillance weapon system. Proven in combat most recently in Afghanistan and Iraq Javelin is the weapon of choice with its low launch signature, close-in minimum engagement range and ability to fire from enclosures for rapid reaction, special operations, and light- and mechanized-infantry forces. Javelins command launch unit (CLU) provides the soldier with fully integrated day/night all-weather surveillance and targeting capability. The low launch signature fire-and-forget capability allows the soldier to fire, take cover, reload or reposition for maximum survivability and high hit probability. The large diameter warhead will destroy all known armored and light vehicles and is capable of engaging buildings and bunkers. Javelin is capable of integration on

many vehicles by utilizing a remote fire control system. Javelin missile has a robust design that requires no maintenance for the life of the missile. Already fielded to the U.S. Army, Marines Corps and international customers, Javelin is in full-rate production. Approved for foreign military sales, Javelin has been selected by the armed forces of 12 nations. The U.S. Army product improvement program will keep Javelin as the soldiers weapon of choice well into the 21st century. Javelins world-class training creates a quality user-on-weapon without ever having to fire a round.
