s a part leader, I felt I have been gaining improvement with my part together each time. I am touched by the altos as well as other parts continuous devotion in the tough rehearsals and tutorials, striving to learn and improve. Their devotion becomes my motivation to do better, though the greatest motivation still comes from my deeply rooted passion towards music. The 44th Anniversary Concert, the first and perhaps only concert created by colleagues and I, was indeed a memorable and fulfilling experience, and I am still missing every moment of that wonderful evening. Another really touching moment was when the Choir sang my choral composition Music, when soft voices die. I couldnt find the suitable words to describe the unique and satisfying feeling of that moment. The lyrics of the poem are in harmony with what many people and I feel. May the beautiful music we have created together persist in our memories. A heartfelt thank to all those who have contributed in every way to make our concert possible.

t brought me back to the old days when I was still studying Primary School, when my music teacher led us choir members to sing and we ran around playing games during the breaks. Though things are more sophisticated and higher singing techniques are required in the Union Choir, I still feel the cohesion and warmth amongst the united family. Practicing for the anniversary concert was quite tough for me as I had not been singing for a while and Im mot a professional singer. Yet, under the patient guidance of the part leader, Stephanie, and the conductors, Ringtone and Jeffrey, I have learnt a lot about singing skills, and even enjoyed singing the songs after knowing the romantic meanings of some songs. Joining the Union Choir and participating in the anniversary concert is one of the most remarkable experience in my freshman year. I am grateful to meet new friends and gain support from my family. This is going to be the very bit Id cherish always.

ere are my comments, let me know if this is too short:

The 44th Anniversary Concert, in my opinion, was a genuine success. It represents the culmination of the combined efforts, diligence and teamwork of our Choir, striving together in dedication to our shared passion of choral music. Performing as part of this wonderful team has truly been an amazing experience.

t has been another performance with Union Choir.

It was one of the best. Heck, all of them are the best ones. During the preparation in the concert, I tried my best to capture everyones impression. There are excitements, anticipations, bonding as well as joy. They contrasted so much with the confusion, alertness and isolation in the beginning of September. I truly felt that we have grown so much together as a choir. As a choir, we had a blast in OUR concert. We sang the music, we also sang out ourselves. From Union Song to Barber, from Magnificat to Amen, we sang not only the lyrics, the notes or the melody. We sang our respect to music, our joy in music, and our joy in UC. Thats all that matters, I cant wish for anything better. After that day, music is always there with me.

o be honest, I wasnt that into the music in the beginning. Cause I like Chinese song most. Though every song we are going to perform in anniversary concert are in foreign language. So Im not that engaged into the team. However, after joining the team singing Barbers of Seville, I found back my spirit of singing. When I practice with my group mates, I can always feel the passion and enthusiasm in music. I now feel happy every time when singing in the choir. I still hope I can sing songs with different style or different language in the coming performances. All in all, I love standing on stage and perform with my teammates.

elt a little relieved after the show. Yet I feel little upset now, the whole things done. At the beginning, I thought about giving up, likequit it, I really cant read them; just go back and sing pop songs. Then after 2 or 3 weeks,I thought a lot though I couldnt sing flawlessly, I did improve, at least, I can follow... the lyrics, the notes, keeping the faith I can do it, Ill just improve EVEN more, tried best not to miss any tutorial n rehearsal, even though therere only Stephanie and me in soc room. And practised with Magnificat online. On-day the whole day, I really didnt feel nervous (though i heard my heart beat with Magnificats haha), because the whole UC was there, CUTE ALTOS were there. Thiss a super good show. Thanks everyone involved =] Minnie YAU from Alto

utters Magnificat has become a very meaningful piece for me. Listening to it will bring back happy memories of singing alongside Holun Chan and the other entertaining tenors; of Ringtone Yeung and Jeffrey Wans inspiring rehearsals; and of the night of the concert. Thanks for introducing such beautiful music to me, and for making me feel welcome in the choir.

isten. Can you hear it? The music. I can hear it everywhere. In the wind... in the air... in the light. Its all around us. All you have to do is open yourself up. All you have to do... is listen. 11 years have passed. I am still singing in Choir. Music is always there in your heart. It unifies peoples hearts. In Union Choir people who share the same faith work together just like a family. What we do is not something for fun. We keep on singing because we believe in the power of music. It can heal your heart. If you listen carefully, you will hear different stories and learn a lot from it. I love music and singing in the choir.

his has been my third year singing in anni. Each year gives me different feelings. Perhaps due to my jong is not the organizer of this anni, the sense of achievement from this concert is not that big for me but I really feel what is to pass the flame of remembrance onto the next generation. This years anni reminds me of the anni during my jong period. Music is a magic which made me almost bursts into tears when singing Wie ieblich sind deine Wohnungen and The Awakening, respectively last year and this year. Being ironically is that I could be one of the audiences of anni only after singing for 3 years. But what feeling will I receive being an audience next year? Up to now I dont know but Im sure that if the anni is still here in the future and carries on to be one of the traditions in UC I will by all means buy tickets to hear the concert. See you all in future. P.S. Putting off glasses for taking group photo has really been a tradition in tenor, since my session =D

must say I didnt bond much with the other members before have performance for the barber of seville. Step by step we practise few times a week, strengthen the bond as much as synchronise our voices. It is indeed my honor to be in the choir and be a part of awesome tenor. Hope we can keep that bond for a lifetime.

I have many feelings for this concert. Let me share some that members might be interested. 3 months before, I worry about how newly recruited performers feel about the rehearsals and the concert. 2 months before, I was afraid that I could not bring in enough attention from the public to the choir (since I wanted the whole world to see how hard UCers worked towards this concert ) 1 month before, I worry that altos may not have enough voice. 1 day before, I was so nervous that something would go wrong. On that day, I wished that Magnificat 7 will never end. At the moment when we all sing to farewell the guests, I almost cried since I can feel that UC excos have delivered the passion for music to the performers. As a performer, there are 4 stages that I went through. First, I worked hard to get all the notes, the pitch, and the dynamics correct. Then, I work on looking at the conductors and not the score that seemed like my bible I cant sing without. After that, I hoped that I will help altos by singing the correct example for others to follow. ( I think I was never correct though)
