27IB, DOLE XII partners in obtaining Industrial Peace in South Cotabato TUPI, South Cotabato- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) recently issued Resolution No. 01, dated January 30, 2012, covering the complete settlement of all issues obtaining at Dole Philippines Inc. as raised by AK-NAFLU-KMU, LEAD.PH and Management. On January 15, 2011, Independent Tripartite Committee at Dole Philippines was created under Administrative Order No. 8, Series of 2011, issued by Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz to ensure the integrity of the Certification Election on the said management. The committee is tasked to provide regular consultation, validation, documentation of complaints and issues related to certification election and continuous monitoring on the implementation of the stipulated agreement in the newly created resolution. Part of the agreement resolved was the commitment of AK-NAFLU-KMU not to pursue cases filed before the Commission on Human Rights involving Dole Philippines Inc. and 27 th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army. Lt. Col. Alexis Noel C. Bravo, Commanding Officer of 27th IB, lauded DOLE, headed by Director Ma. Gloria A. Tango in finding resolve to the issues between the management and the labor unions of the said company to include the withdrawal of cases filed at CHR against the management and 27th IB. Pursuing peace process is one of the thrust of the Armed Forces of the Philippines as mandated by the President which is noteworthy and should be emulated not only in Region XII but to the whole country as well. Lt Col Bravo added. Tripartite Committee, through DOLE-XII Regional Office, shall continue to monitor the implementation of the agreement despite the fact that the issues were resolved and even if Director Tango will be reassigned in another regional field office.

Part of the agreement is that the AK-NAFLUKMU is no longer interested to pursue cases filed before the Commission on Human Rights involving Dole Philippines Inc and 27th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army.
