Program help and Internet search may not be used. ________1 Download the media_components.zip archive (right-click/control-click and save) from the following online location: http://bit.ly/j232_premiere_practical. UnZip the file by doubleclicking it. Rename the folder with yourname_premiere. Launch Premiere and create a new project with one sequence set at Digital SLR -> 720p -> DSLR 720p24 @23.976. The project location should be your local desktop inside that folder you created above. (Proctor to verify dialog settings) From the media components folder that you downloaded, import the following files into the project panel (Proctor to verify media in project panel): ! TWO separate files of a_roll_x.mov (inside video folder) ! ONE b_roll.mov clip your choice (inside video folder) ! explore_California.wav (inside audio folder) Save the project in your folder created in step 1. Drop both A-roll clips onto the main video track in the timeline and rough-cut both clips to have the couple pictured state 2 points (one by each couple). (Proctor to verify one track of video) Create a cross-fade audio transition between the two speakers clips. (Proctor to verify transition placement) Place the B-roll clip on a new video track so that it plays over a portion of the A-roll video. Be sure the B-roll audio track, if any, is kept on a separate layer. Edit the B-roll to the necessarily length, cutting out camera movements to the length of youre A-roll edit. Be sure to reduce the B-roll audio level as appropriate to let the A-roll audio play through. (Proctor to verify B-roll clip placement) Create an opening title that appears in the first three to five seconds of your video. The title should contain your name and JOUR232 and should appear on a separate layer in Premiere. (Proctor to verify presence of title) Place the audio .wav file onto its own audio track to be used as background music. Trim and fade the audio so it matches the length of your title slide. Adjust the volume level so it fades off to zero as the first video clips begin. (Proctor to verify audio track) Save your work in the .prproj project inside your created folder on the desktop so that this folder contains the entire project. (Proctor to verify presence of project folder) Export your video as an .mp4, setting the Format to H.264 and the Preset to Vimeo HD. Rename the video yourlastname_premiere (Proctor to verify export settings) Quit Premiere. (Proctor to verify the original content files have not been saved over or altered)
