2. What are your student learning objectives? By the end of the lesson, SWBAT: to demonstrate deep understanding of the text Three Days to See by making inferences on the author, putting themselves in her shoes and discussing the topic. 3. When/How in the lesson will I check students progress toward the above learning objectives? What behaviors/activities will show me whether students have mastered the material? When they respond correctly to the during activities, skimming and scanning. Also when they put themselves in the authors shoes and discuss further on the topic. 4. Preliminary considerations: a. What do your students already know in relation to todays lesson? They already now some techniques on skimming and scanning. b. What aspects of the lesson do you anticipate your students might find challenging/difficult? Ss might need some explaining on keywords and also extra information on the authors background.

c. How will you avoid and/or address these problem areas in your lesson?
I will inductively teach them the crucial words and clear other vocabulary doubts as they arise. I will also provide them with some information on the author in the pre stage while contextualizing.

00:00 T shows slides of three monkeys. T asks Ss What do you see?, What do they represent?, Do you sometimes feel like not hearing, seeing or speaking?. Teach them the words blind, deaf and mute. Which disability do they would me most challenging? 10:00 T shows another slide now of Helen Keller and her teacher Anne Sullivan. What do you see?, Do you know them?. This is Helen and this Anne. What might there relationship be?, What are they doing? Why?. 15:00 Ss are told to skim and answer who they think wrote the text, Anne or Helen. T asks what the main idea is? In pairs Ss come up with a title for the article. Ss look for evidence in the text that supports the title (theirs and the original). Ss ask for vocabulary clarification Ss underline what they think was the most interesting thing Helen would like to see and why. Ss say what else she would like to see by filling in the handout. 25:00 Ss work on character study and put them selves in Helens shoes. I really dislike. My favorite thing to do is. One day I will.
