THAT FORMER TREATMENT WAS WITH The wastewater treatment plant at the industrial complex of a large vehicle assembler located in southern Brazil, including factories of 14 different products used to treat 1.000m3 of wastewater daily. The effluent was divided in three main lines: oily, paint and general industrial wastewaters. Batches of 500 m3 were prepared by mixing different percentages of the three types of wastewater. The pH value was increased to 11,0 using Ca(OH)2 and then Al2(SO4)3 was added until the pH was reduced to 7,0. After this procedure, 5 ppm of anionic polymer were added. Having tried T a n f l o c as coagulant in order to eliminate the use of Ca(OH)2, it was approved and adopted to improve treatment efficiency and optimise manpower use. APPLICATION FLOWCHART
