PRAYER AND PRAISE

Please pray that the Lord would bless and lead our new initiatives in Youth ministry and a Christian holiday club in the Term 1 break. Pray for Jim Baker's loved ones as they grieve his loss. Praise God that we have now received all of our consents from the City Council, and can begin construction of the long awaited Childcare. Please pray that it will be a truly effective outreach to the community. Pray that God will intervene to end the violence in Syria, where a UN resolution has cited the use of force against civilians; killing and persecution of protesters, human rights defenders, and journalists; and arbitrary detention and other human rights violations. Pray that justice and peace will come to Syria. Also, pray for protection for all believers and that the Syrian people will come to know the Prince of Peace.

We know that it can take a lot of energy to attend a new church, so please note that: The toilets are located down the passage to the right as you exit the sanctuary. The Preschool ministry begins at the start of the service in the Creche, and 5-13 year olds are dismissed part way through the service for Sunday School. Information on who we are, as well as on all of our ministries are available online at www.whac.net.nz Each week, we share a cuppa together after the service, and would love for you to stay for a chat.

MINISTRIES FOR CHILDREN at WHAC

Ages 0-3 Ages 37 Ages 8 13 If you need to take your infant out of the service, we have a crche available. Our Kids Club is divided into two groups, for age appropriate lessons. These take place in the hall during the sermon. A notice will appear on the screen when it is time to dismiss your children.

Coram Deo Next Sunday, we have the opportunity to be led in worship by a new inter-church worship team called Coram Deo ("Before God"). It is their heart to serve the Lord, and His church by bringing people into His presence, and we look forward to their ministry among us! A Financial Update Thanks to your faithfulness in giving, we are currently 10% over our estimated giving target for this financial year! That's fantastic! As you know, at WHAC, we give as an act of worship to God, and I hope that He's been honoured in all of our giving. Having approved a deficit budget at our last AGM, what this means is that we currently have a deficit of $2,175 for the first half of this financial year. I can't wait to see what God does in the second half!

That has to be the strangest shopping list that I've ever seen, but it's our hope and prayer that the Lord would be honoured in it, and that He would use it to bless people around the world, and to draw them to Himself.
