GUIDE ON HOW TO ACCESS IIUM E-LEARNING FOR IIUM STAFF

A. HOW TO ACCESS THE IIUM E-LEARNING & ONLINE COMMUNITY PORTAL 1.0 To access the IIUM E-learning & Online Community Portal, go to the following website address:

http://elearn.iiu.edu.my

The opening page contains a welcome message, a login panel and other information as shown in the figure above. 2.0 To log-in, key-in your USER ID and PASSWORD in the login panel (see the figure below), and then click on the Login button. Your User ID and Password is the same as your IIUM e-mail username and password respectively.

For example, if your IIUM e-mail address is azlanmz@iiu.edu.my, then your User ID is azlanmz and your password is the same as your IIUM e-mail password.

If you cannot login, you have to update your user account at the MyIIUM portal as follows: i. ii. Go to http://my.iium.edu.my On the login page of the MyIIUM portal, you will notice a red rectangle with the words Login Problem ?! ACTIVATE Your Account..

Click on this red rectangle and you will get the following:

Choose IIUM Staff and key in your Portal ID and Password Click on the Check button. Click on the Activate or Update button Try to login into the e-learning portal again

If you are logging in for the first time, you will get a message as shown below:

Click on the OK button and you will get the following page.

Scroll down and click on the save ( shown below.

) button. You will see your DESKTOP as

This is the IIUM online community portal, also known as AIMS (Advanced Information Management System).

B.

HOW TO ACCESS THE E-LEARNING PORTAL 1.0 At the AIMS desktop, click on the e-Learning button as shown below.

Again, if this is your first time, you will get My Profile page as shown below. Key-in the compulsory fields (*). You have to update your profile at least once before you can use the e-learning portal.

When you are done, scroll down and click on the button. Please take note that, the Postcode field accepts numbers only. If you key-in numbers and alphabets or other symbols, when you click on the Modify button, you will get an error message as shown below. Re-enter numbers only for the postcode field and click on the Modify button to update your profile.

If you have successfully updated your profile, you will get the following page.

Now click on the page as shown below.
