DAARFS is a leading multi-disciplinary Development & Socio-Economic Research, Consulting, Project Management, Trainings, Evaluation and Monitoring entity; offering highly specialized services. We specialize in Governance including evolving Participatory models for Governance, Agriculture and Natural Resources Management, Education, Public Health & Nutrition, Institutional Development, Transport and Tourism; Gender, Rural and Urban Development, Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). Dr. A. K. Agrawal
Dr. Agrawal is the founder chairperson of the DAARF society, by nature he is an researcher or innovator. He is member of Researchers Alliance for Development, The World Bank. He holds more than fifteen years of experience in various fields such as auditing, accounting, project appraisal, teaching, training, management development programmes, research, project implementation, consultancy, course designing, document development, capacity building, contract management etc. He has doctorate and masters in management as well as in commerce. He has two books and many articles in his credit. He has been associated in various assignments; a few of them are briefed below: Social Audit Manual for NREGA: The report and manual continues to remind us of the challenges and best possible solutions for the fulfillment of good governance in our country. It is opened by Hon ble Finance Minister, GOI, Shri Pranab Mukerjee in book opening ceremony organized by ICAI to publish the same. Detailed Project Report for Rain Water Harvesting: The work was sponsored by UNDP to Sustainable Innovation USA and HPTP. The report was focused on possible sustainable solution for drinking water availability. Potential for Bio fuel refinery in Rajasthan: The study was conducted for Consultway Group Spain to assess the feasibility of refinery. Modeling for Multi criteria facility location: A tool for decision support in facilities location determination. The study was sponsored by DST, GOI. Organized Retailing: The report was focused on examine the effects of organized retailing on various sectors in India. This study was sponsored by UGC. Training Need Assessment for Department of Information Technology, GOR.

Dr. Unnat Pathak


Dr. Pathak has done Masters in Social Works and has enjoyed more than seven years of experience in the field of capacity building, Implementation, Monitoring & evaluation. y y y Working as a State Coordinator and Chief Training Supervisor for the training of 7200 PRI in Rajasthan for IWRM plan under SWRPD Jaipur. State coordinator for the Handicraft /Artisans Census in Uttarakhand State. Selection of resource person team, finalising the training schedule for the training of mainstreaming, capacity building, sensitisation workshop and Red Ribbon Club for HIV / AIDS with USACs Dehradun. Report writing and back check of field staff for NHM (National Horticulture Mission) Jodhpur. Implementation and facilitation of field work for Ajeevika project with ULIPH, Dehradun. Worked as a State coordinator for the Evaluation of ICT Tools for Education Project (KYAN Project) in Urdu Medium Schools in West Bengal. Concurrent Evolution of NRHM in Uttarakhand (State Coordinator) JTDP Jharkhand (Jharkhand Tribal Development programme) Baseline Study of the Status of Teaching of English in Elementary Schools in Rajasthan with reference in speaking, Writing & Teaching Skills of Teachers in English Language. Chandra Prakash Sharma:


Masters in Business Economics and has five years of experience working in Development sector like education, health etc. He has conducted several Impact assessment and Evaluations. y Evaluation of tenth plan Scheme of Hallmarking of Gold Jewelry .

Scope: Consumer awareness survey at 30 locations across India, to know about the consumer awareness and perception about Hallmarking of Gold Jewelries. y Impact assessment of IEC activities at various bus shelters and metro pillars in state of Delhi

Scope: To assess the impact of the health campaign under the Ministry of Health. 1600 commuters were taken as the sample size for the purpose of the study. y Impact assessment analysis and preparation of success stories of National Horticulture Mission in 24 districts in Rajasthan.

Scope: To assess the impact of the scheme in which the farmers were provided grant for establishment of new garden, rejuvenation of garden, IPM, Green Houses etc. y Census of handicraft artisans for various districts .

Scope: Preparation of reports on census of handicraft artisans and to know about their investment and future requirements. y Analysis and report writing of the Evaluation Study of Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana in Ten districts of Gujarat

Scope: To assess the impact of the Rastriya Swasthya Bima Yojana among the BPL beneficiaries and to suggest the corrective measures. y y y y One week project at IIM- A. Project for VODAFONE on launching of products on the basis of analyzing the trend of Market and its competitors. Worked as a team member to develop the evaluation tool for the Uttarakhand Livelihood Implementation program for Himalayas funded by IFAD. Worked as a team member in designing the sampling frame and questionnaire, and coordinating the field work for Coffee Consumption in India-2009-10

Mr. Jainendra Agarwal


He is young enthusiastic Researcher and has enjoyed three years of working experience in development sector. He is Silver medalist Post Graduate Diploma in Management and has extensive experience in developing communications, advocacy materials and public relations apart from mass-media advertising. He has strong background in mathematics, statistics and marketing which he implicates in his research with using different statistical tests and models. y He is consulting Kneel society which is Bharatpur (Rajasthan) based NGO that has taken an initiative to save Kevladev National Park and helped the rural people for improvement of their livelihood. Project : Artisan Sustainability Project done under supervision of IIFT

Scope: 6 states of India were covered in these projects. It is an Impact assessment of the scheme offered to the artisans in different part of country. Critical analysis on basis various parameters like Income group, socio-economic, demographic, productivity, wastages, Facilities, Living standard, Funding agency, Supplier, Buyer on the basis of the interviews and data collected from the Questionnaires and Focus Group Discussion. y Project: Manganese ore s Customer Satisfaction of MSTC

Scope: All over India all the customers those purchasing and registered with MSTC for Manganese ore, Competitors, Registration, Auction, Documentation, Procedures, and Delivery were analysis to define customer s satisfaction and suggestions and recommendation for better services was given. y Project: Evaluation of ICT Tools for Education Project the State of West Bengal

Scope: In this project K-yan Impact, which were introduce in different schools of West Bengal, is find by analysis of academic performance of students and physiological impact on Principal, Teacher, Student, Parents on basis of collected data by different questionnaire and tests recommendation on the basis of the key findings related to the physical infrastructure in the schools. y Project: A Study on Urban Schooling-status, problems and needed reforms

Scope: 6 Districts of Uttar Pradesh was covered in this project. Evaluation of existing demand and supply of facilities are available in urban schools and planning for future.

Project: Impact of Khadi Domestic Exhibition in India

Scope: Pan India was covered in this project. In this Project all over India s Khadi exhibitions were evaluated. Financial, marketing, socio aspects of exhibition like expenditure vs Sale, product life cycle, price, place, promotion, season, weather, festival, competitor, trend, procedure were evaluated.

Rebecca S. David
Involved in the planning, implementation and monitoring (project cycle management) of Poverty Alleviation through Social Mobilization around natural resource management (NRM) (Project of the UNDP) and Creating Models of Local Self Governance around NRM (Project of the British High Commission) both addressing issues around sustainable development. Also involved with a project on Dairy & NRM (Project of the National Dairy Development Board). Facilitating institution building and strengthening through directly interacting with village communities. Also building the capacities of field staff. Active/Effective networking with local, national NGO s. Periodic reporting and feedback post GO co-ordination meets, NGO meets. In-charge of various activities related to SHGs- its formation, developing contacts with resource agencies and capacity building etc. Documenting of project progress reports, trainings and other events. Involved in proposal writing as well as writing other articles. Writing a working paper on National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA): Towards Governance & Conservation of Natural Resources . In charge of the implementation of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) in one block of Udaipur district by the organization. Active involvement with (and supervising of) studies such as: resource mapping of panchayats, studying democratic spaces created for women through FES s interventions. As part of a team conducted a study on Joint Forest Management and Livelihood linkages across Rajasthan (project undertaken for Govt. of Rajasthan). Working on governance issues with Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI s). Understanding and working with government programmes, schemes, legal procedures involving our work such as the Joint Forest Management (JFM) Policy, the NREGS, Forest Rights Act, Panchayat Extension to Schedule Areas (PESA) Act etc. Also built an understanding of
