Bio Concerns Agricultural Policy

Economic Viability of the Agricultural consultancy

Flush out disguised unemployment. This is a strong controversy in development Economics; this is a case where the densely populated agricultural sectors of Nigeria have resulted in more (unneeded) people in the sector as disguised unemployment.

Nurske (1955), among others, argued that the surplus (which appear as disguised unemployment), should be viewed as an advantage rather than a disadvantage. This represents a resource that can be used elsewhere in the economy, substituting capital when labour shifts from the agricultural to other sectors of the economy (oil and gas). There should be an implicit positive wage in the agricultural sector. If the wage is positive, then the value of the marginal product of labour must also be positive. As a consequence, if such labour is removed, as It is removed in Nigeria Agricultural Sector, the marginal product that is previously created is also removed thereby, and as a result, the smaller labour force cannot possibly produce the same output as was formally produced with the large labour force of non-labour inputs are kept constant. It is factual to state that marginal productivity of agricultural labour is quite low in Nigeria. It is not zero and hence labour doesnt exist considering the opportunities that abound, if the factors of the natural endowments of the country are given the quality attention needed by professionals and skilled personnels in various fields in the agricultural sector. Hence, to us in Bio concern Nigeria whether or not surplus exists in the country as an empirical question to us, we can use theory to argue whether or not the presumed measurements are appropriate, but we cannot argue that the presumed measurements will show, without actual making measurements from a purely political viewpoint. The issues we will try to resolve are: Though it may appear to be full utilization of manpower, there is a sense of underutilization of the capacity of labour.

There are economic policies in Nigeria that seems to conflict with some sectors/industries policies- how we can give a holistic approach to our policies development and implementation to consider all important factors in respective sectors.

Creating awareness to agriculturist, the policies pros & cons. i.e. to make them know whether the enacted policies supports or conflicts them.

There are some incentives; investigate whether the incentives are accessed by the rightful people.

Skilfully empower the operators and approach best fit for commercialization and industrialize the sector.

It has become a critical issue, such that the organizations that seem to operate in this sector are not fully equipped with the necessary materialsprofessionally, intellectually and commercially, yet they make a lot of profit with little or no positive impact to agriculturists or farmers. Hence, any organization duly informed and steps into this career path with the crusedal passion and mind set will not only amerce wealth but will be great.
