Though the qualifying criteria is SSC the candidates with higher qualification may also apply. However, eligibility will be based on SSC marks qualification only. The candidates should have Passed ITI in FIRST ATTEMPT in the trade of Fitter from Government /Govt. recognised Institute. i) securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General / OBC / AFC / PH. ii) Pass Class for SC/ST. The candidates should have Passed ITI in FIRST ATTEMPT in the trade of Painter (Gen) from Government /Govt. recognized Institute. i) securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General / OBC / AFC /PH. ii) Pass Class for SC/ST.

The candidates should have Passed ITI in FIRST ATTEMPT in the trade of I.T.I. Carpenter from Government /Govt. recognized Institute. i) securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General / OBC / AFC /PH. ii) Pass Class for SC/ST. The candidates should have Passed ITI in FIRST ATTEMPT in the trade of I.T.I. Electronic -Mechanic from Government /Govt. recognized Institute. i) securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General / OBC / AFC / PH. ii) Pass Class for SC/ST. The candidate should have Passed 8th Class examination under (10+2) System in FIRST ATTEMPT i) securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General / OBC / AFC /PH. ii) Pass Class for SC/ST. Though the qualifying criteria is VIIIth (8th) Pass the candidates with Qualification SSC (Xth pass) under 10+2 system or higher may also apply in this category. However, eligibility will be based on Standard VIIIth marks / qualification only

Note :- i) ITI Passed candidates will not be considered for Group 'A' & Group C. ii) The Applicants are advised to submit the self attested photo copies of all relevant documents (i.e. SSC/VIIIth (8th)/ITI marksheet, Proof for date of birth, caste certificate, Valid Non-creamy layer certificate, Ist Attempt certificate, AFC/PH certificate etc.) (AFC Armed Forces Children, PH Physically Handicapped). 2) The Written Examination will be conducted on the basis of minimum qualification specified above in the respective groups by MDL in order to qualify for Interview subsequently. 3) The candidates securing qualifying marks in MDL WRITTEN EXAM in each category and each group would only be called for Interview. The Final Selection of these candidates for Apprenticeship will be based on combined Merit of marks obtained in Written Test and Interview. The Date, Time & Venue of the Written Test will be informed by post to the eligible candidates. However, due to postal delay in certain areas the same may not be received in time. In order to overcome this problem the list of eligible candidates for Written Test and Date/Time/Venue for the same will also be displayed on the

Notice Board on the Gate No 9 Alcock Yard of the Company on 5-8-2010. All applicants are therefore advised to check their names in the eligible candidates list displayed on the Gate No.9 Alcock Yard of the Company. 4) Reservation : As per Government rules for SC/ST/OBC/PH/AFC candidates subject to submission of relevant Certificate issued by Competent Authority. However 10% seats are reserved for Female candidates (in Fitter, Electrician, Painter Gen. & Electronic Mech. trades). 5) Application Form : It will be available with Rules & Regulations (for strict compliance) at GATE NO.9, ALCOCK YARD of the Company against the payment of registration fee of Rs.30/-, in cash, from 24-06-2010 to 07-07-2010 between 9.15hrs and 12.15hrs from Monday to Friday for General, OBC, AFC & PH Candidates. For SC/ST Candidates it will be available Free of Cost subject to submission of self attested photo copy of Caste Certificate issued by competent authority in the name of candidate. The outstation candidates including SC/ST, can obtain the Application Form on request to Dy. General Manager (ATS) by sending a self addressed envelop duly affixed with Rs.6/- postage stamp and for this purpose General, OBC, AFC & PH Candidates need to send Rs.30/- Demand Draft drawn in favour of MAZAGON DOCK LIMITED, payable at MUMBAI. Whereas SC/ST Candidates need to send self attested photo copy of the Caste Certificate issued by the Competent authority in his/her name. Applicants may also visit our Website www.mazagondock.gov.in under career to download the Application. However such downloaded application form should be sent with the Demand Draft of Rs.30/- in favour of Mazagon Dock Ltd, payable at Mumbai. 6) MDL will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit. 7) The Application Form / Mark Sheets received after the due date will not be entertained. 8) Applicants awaiting ITI examination results may forward their application enclosing a Bonafide Certificate issued by the institute. They must submit their result mentioning Application Form No. on it on the day of Interview at MDL. 9) It is mandatory to submit the Police Verification Report issued by the Competent Authority (Commissioner of Police/Superintendent of Police) of the area of residence of the candidates before joining the Training. As such they are advised to approach immediately to the concerned police authorities and arrange to obtain the said report and submit the photo copy preferably at the time of Interview. (a) Passing out the qualifying examination in FIRST ATTEMPT and producing document from school to that effect is must. If not candidate should give an undertaking to produce the same at the time of Interview, failing which his candidature will not be considered, and his candidature will be rejected. (b) SC/ST/Reserved category candidate not submitting valid self attested caste certificate alongwith application would be rejected.
