The flowers on the altar are to the glory of God and in celebration of the First Sunday in Lent. Lent is a 40 day season where we intentionally draw closer to God and prepare our hearts for Easter. Moravians practice open communion. If you are a visitor, you are welcome to participate. The pastor will serve the elements to you in the pew and all will partake together. The 125th Anniversary Committee will meet briefly in the pastors study immediately following worship today. The Christian Education Committee will meet this afternoon at 3:00 in the Library. Day of Prayer at Trinity Moravian Church will be this Wednesday, February 229 at 11:00 a.m. The speaker will be Rev. Russell Williams. A complimentary luncheon will be served at noon. Lenten Services continue this Wednesday with supper at 6:00 p.m. The service will be in the sanctuary at 7:00 with guest speaker Rev. Dan Nelson. Pastor Allen will preach at Pine Chapel. During Lent we will collect the following items for Sunnyside Ministry: bar soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, cereal, oatmeal, soup, tomato products, and Ramen noodles. There will be a plastic bin in the Fellowship Hall in which to place donations. Loves UMC Adult Fellowship will meet this Tuesday, February 28th at 12:00 noon. The Building/Construction Committee will meet this Thursday, March 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library.
