We are greatly benefited by this industrial tour in terms of getting awareness of Engineering at the workspace, to recognize the need for health and safety in the workspace, to become aware of the various career opportunities, to focus students on specific aspects of their studies. In this respect we find ourselves very lucky to have such a tour. INTRODUCTION
This report is on the industrial tour which is overwhelmingly enjoyed by the 3rd year students of computer science branch (sec-B). This report deals with the overall details of the industrial tour which includes the plan on industrial visit schedule, companies details and many more details of visit. Our total strength in tour is of 50 students + 3 faculties, a total of 53 people. We have a tour to Jaipur-Delhi-Shimla-Chandigarh and then return back. The scheduled date for tour was 01st March, 2011 to 6th March, 2011. The total cost for the tour was Rs 4500/- per head. This tour was under full supervision of our three faculties. In all, we visited five companies in 5 days and 6 nights tour namely-Shree Ram Pistons & Rings(Noida), S T Microelectronics(Noida), Asian Paints(Noida), HPMC(Solan), Tritons(Chandigarh). Their complete details was given in the following pages of report.In short, this tour was proved to be unforgettable for each and every member who was a part of it.

Objective
In order to make students aware of the ENGINEERING at work, to recognize the need for health and safety in the workspace, to become aware of the various career opportunities, to focus students on specific aspects of their studies. Industrial visit is way of interacting with companies methodology use by companies in this current technologic world. It helps in adjusting him/her self according to current technology Environment. Industry has a vital interest in engineering education since the quality of graduates is of critical importance to the success of its Endeavour s. This interest is usually manifested by industry s contributions to engineering education programs by participation in advisory boards, joint supervision of student projects, acceptance of students for industrial placement, sponsorship of final year projects and by sponsoring prizes and scholarships. Although not immediately recognizable, research collaboration between industry and

university also contributes to underpinning in terms of attracting high quality students and in motivating undergraduate programs. All this has important ramifications them toward achieving high academic standards.

From Jaipur to New Delhi. From New Delhi via Solan to Shimla. From Shimla to Chandigarh.

25th Feb, Friday: 26th Feb, Saturday: Departure for Delhi by 10:00 pm. Arrival at Delhi at 06 :00 am (Check in). breakfast in hotel at 7:30 am. City Visit at 9:00am Dinner in Hotel at 10:30pm

27th Feb, Sunday:

Breakfast in hotel at 07:30 am Company visit at 09:30 am Visited S T Microelectronics and Asian Paints Dinner at 10:00pm

Departed to Shimla late Night at 11:00 pm

28th Feb, Monday:

Breakfast in Hotel Visited HPMC Lunch at 1:00 pm. Went to Kufri at 4:pm Dinner at 9:pm

1st March, Tuesday:

After breakfast Visit Mallroad in Shimla Lunch at 12:00 pm Left for Chandigarh at 01:00 pm Dinner at 10:00 pm Arrival at Chandigarh at 7:00am

2nd March, Wednesday: Breakfast 10:00 am. Visited TCS(CMC). Left for Neemrana at 2:00 pm. Arrival at Neemrana at 6:pm Visited Parle-G & returned Arrival at Jaipur at 10:00 pm

Role in managing Tour Sidharth Jain:I was the Report Coordinator during the Tour, so i Maintained all the informations related to the companies, that what is the Working procedure of the company,what is the speciality of the company,what is the total turnover of the company.

Relevance to the CS stream

The Computer Engineers play a crucial role in this kind of the industry as the whole working of such a plant is dependent on the concepts of Embedded System which is one of the core subjects of this the stream. Embedded system is the soul of such type of plant without which the objectives will become a distant dream. . Relevance to the CS stream The Computer Engineers play a crucial role in this kind of the industry. They are the one who do programming for the instruments such companies manufacture. They develop the software and also the functional testing of the coded part is done by the Computer programmers. They also play a major role in the R & D Department of industries which are in this field. They also provide expertise solutions.

Relevance to the CS stream The Computer Engineers play a crucial role in this kind of the industry. They are the one who do programming for the whole functioning in the plant in the proper order. The complete controlling is done through the computerized centre.

Others Along with the industrial visits, the time which was left over was utilized the recreational activities as in sight-seeing. The various beautiful visits to the various cities included :: Kufri in Shimla on 4th March,2011 Mall Road in Shimla on 5th March,2011 Rock Garden in Chandigarh on 6th March,2011 Akshardham in Delhi on 2nd March,2010 India Gate on 3rd March,2011

Conclusion This tour proved to be great experience to each and every student and we have learned a lot new things and definitely this experience will be helpful in future life. The various aspects of this tour is as follows Positive aspects of the tour The tour was organized very well. The visit to the various kinds of industries taught us about the work ethics.

Also we came to know about the practical implementations of the various concepts of the our field. We learnt that the computer engineers are an integral part of various industries like S T Microelectronics, Asian Paints. The students were in discipline and in proper uniform which left a great impression the heads of the industries. The students asked their queries to the concerned person and were very much satisfied with their answers. Everyone enjoyed a lot in the tour.

Negative Aspects of tour The actual schedule was a bit late as compared to the planned. The buses were ageing.
