IN COLLABORATION WITH GLOBAL PEACE MALAYSIA

INTRODUCTION Cambodia is one of the countries that went through rough time throughout their history. The darkest time of their history came in the 70s during the nations war. It was sad to know the fact that 2 million out of 7 million population were lost in that war. Now, the country hits with poverty and struggling to provide better life for its people.

In the process, the Muslims of Cambodia are the ones that experience the worse oppression. Most of them are knee deep in to poverty. They lack basic amenities and one of their most concerned lacks of resource is clean water. The same thing can be said about education. The Mahallah Representative Committee of Mahallah Zubair, Nusaibah and Asma realize that this can be the platform for us to conduct and organize a fully outreach programme to Cambodia as this will be the first of its kind in the wide variety of programmes ever done by the MRC. Other than that, we would like to give our participating students the chance to make even the smallest significant difference to the needy Muslim in Cambodia.

OBJECTIVES
1. To assist Muslim community in creating their own economical opportunity

2. To provide basic medical assistance to the targeted Muslim community 3. To guide the community through the needs and importance of education
4. To assist in providing relief in terms of energy or food or basic amenities to

the targeted community 5. To make even the smallest significant difference to our needy brothers and sisters in Islam in Cambodia

LEARNING OUTCOMES 1. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on themselves and be very grateful to what they have by comparing their live with the people of Cambodia 2. Participants will have a self satisfaction and self actualization by contributing something to the community that probably desperately needs a helping hand
3. Participants will have the opportunity to witness and experience for

themselves the unfortunate lives of our brothers and sisters in Islam in Cambodia 4. Participants will improve their social skills by interacting with people of Cambodia even with those who dont speak the language that they know

12 MRC of Mahallah Zubair, Asma and Nusaibah 2 Officers from each Mahallah Members of Global Peace Malaysia 12 IIUM students (residents of mahallah Zubair, Asma and Nusaibah)

METHODOLOGY Classes for hygiene, Fardhu Ain and English Intensive class for creating handcrafted goods Mini temporary clinic for medical check up Construction of well or water filter

MODUS OPERANDI This programme aim to collect donations in terms of clothing, foods or books and hand the donations to the targeted community in Cambodia We also aim to collect certain amount of sponsorship to build a well or water filter for the targeted community While we do that, we also plan to do a research demography for the purpose of our own documentation We also plan to do hygiene classes, Fardhu Ain classes, English classes and most importantly, skill classes. Other than that, we plan to bring our own medical officers for medical check up session Skill class is specifically for teaching the targeted community to provide certain types handcrafted goods that is already available here in Malaysia, easy to make and also considering the availability of the materials in the region of the targeted community
