Recycling Update
CONGRATULATIONS to all who have been paying your due diligence to our planet by recycling. Youve done such a good job that additional bins were added. So, for those of you who have not been recycling, there is now room for your recyclables, too! Some say: I dont recycle because I dont have that much; but, every little bit helpsit all adds up. Wont you participate? When youve flown over our nation, youve probably looked down at the endless stretches of green and thought there are enough trees to last forever. Do you know that a single edition of the New York Times uses 75,000 trees! The United Stats loses an acre of forest every five seconds! Even replanting wont replace the forest we originally had and if the earth heats up much more, some of our replanted areas will not survive as the young seedlings may never become mature trees. Paper surrounds us. We use it dozens of times per day and dont even think about itfood cartons, toilet paper/ paper towel rolls, animal food bags, old magazines, junk mail, facial tissue/ cosmetic boxes, all your shredded paper, cardboard boxes*. Did you know all the paper you put in the recycle bin this week will become the Arizona Republic next week? Yes, there is a convenient alternative to putting paper in your garbage can; put it in the Sun City Recycle bin. *Thanks for flattening your boxes.
