Dear Texas Democrat, The big news this month is that the San Antonio federal court has

released interim redistricting maps for Congress, the Texas Senate and the Texas House, and set an election date for May 29, 2012. While there appears to be some certainty regarding our Democratic primary, we strongly believe the interim maps presented by the San Antonio court grossly misrepresent the demographic realities of our state, and do the communities who were responsible for the new Congressional seats Texas gained a great disservice. The Texas Democratic Party will continue to support our allies who are fighting to ensure that all communities have the political representation that they deserve. In order to accommodate the changing election dates and to keep our state convention on June 8-9, 2012, weve updated our Delegate Selection Plan . You can download a copy of the TDPs Delegate Selection Plan here, and a summary of the proposed convention process here. Democratically Yours,

The phone bank is on-going and isnt limited to SDEC members, so if you or someone you know is interested in helping us recruit new Sustaining Members in your area, please email cmasters@txdemocrats.org.
