Indeed,

Those who turn 3. away from vain talk, 4. Those who are doers of purification works, 5. And those who guard their modesty 6. Except from their spouses or what they rightfully possess, then indeed, they are not blameworthy.

11. Who will inherit the Paradise. They will abide therein forever. 12. And indeed, We created humankind from an essence of clay. Then We placed 13. him as a sperm-drop in a firm resting place. Then We created 14. the sperm-drop into a clinging substance,

then We created the clinging substance into an embryonic lump, then We created the embryonic lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh; then We produced it as another creation. So blessed is Allah, the Best of Creators. Then indeed, after 15. that, you will surely die. 16. Then indeed, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 17. And indeed, We have created above you seven paths, and We are not unaware of (Our) creation. 18. And We send down water from the sky in (due) measure then We cause it to settle in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 19. Then We produced for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapevines, wherein are abundant fruits and from them you eat. And a tree that 20. springs forth from Mount Sinai which produces oil and (it is a) relish for those who eat. And indeed, for 21. you in the cattle is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are many benefits and of their (meat) you eat. And on them and 22. on ships you are carried.

And indeed, We, the earth.

And indeed,


Mount Sinai

(that) springs forth


And a tree

you eat.


20 for those who eat.


and a relish


oil


(which) produces

We give you drink


surely, (is) a lesson.

you eat.

(are) benefits

and for you their bellies,

23. And verily, We sent Nuh to his people, and he said, `O my people! Worship Allah; you have no god other than Him. Then will you not fear (Him)?` 24. But the chiefs of his people who disbelieved said, `This is not but a man like you, he wishes to assert his superiority over you. And if Allah had willed (to send Messengers) surely He would have sent down Angels. We have not heard of this from our forefathers. 25. He is not but a man possessed with madness, so wait concerning him for a time.` 26. He (Nuh) said, `My Lord! Help me because they deny me.` So We inspired 27. him (saying), `Construct the ship under Our observation and Our inspiration, then when Our Command comes and the oven gushes forth, then take on board a pair from every kind and your family except those against whom the Word has preceded. And do not address Me concerning those who wronged; indeed, they will be drowned. And when you 28. and those with you have boarded the ship, then say, `Praise be to Allah, Who has saved us from

And verily

Worship `O my people! and he said, his people,

surely He (would have) sent down Allah had willed and if

into it then put the oven, and gushes forth Our Command comes those except and your family, two (of) mates address Me And (do) not thereof. the Word against whom 27 (are) the ones to be drowned. indeed, they wronged, those who the ship [on] (is) with you and whoever you, from (has) saved us Who (be) to Allah, `Praise

and Our inspiration, under Our eyes, the ship construct `That to him,

(is) madness,

Help me

 

`My Lord!

He said,

So We inspired

My 29. And say, ` Lord, cause me to land at a blessed landing place, and you are the Best of those who cause to land.` ` 30. Indeed, in that are Signs, and indeed, We are surely testing (people). 31. Then We produced after them another generation.

We are

another.

And We sent 32. among them a Messenger from themselves (saying), `Worship Alla ; you h have no god other than Him. Then will you not fear (Him)?

`Worship [that]

you fear?`

And the chiefs of 33. his people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter while We had given them luxury in the life of this world said, `This is not but a man like you. He eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink. 34. And if you obey a man like yourselves, then surely you will be losers. 35. Does he promise you that when you are dead and become dust and bones, you will be brought forth? Far-fetched, far36. fetched is what you are promised! 37. There is no other life but the life of this world, we die and we live, and we will not be resurrected.

38. He is not but a man who has invented a lie about Allah, and we will not believe him.` He said, `My 39. Lord! Help me because they deny me.` 40. He said, `After a little while, they will surely become regretful.` 41. So an awful cry seized them in truth, and We made them like rubbish of dead leaves. So away with the wrongdoing people. 42. Then We produced another generation after them. 43. No nation can precede its term, nor can they delay (it). 44. Then We sent Our Messengers in succession. Every time there came to a nation its Messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another, and We made them narrations. So away with a people who do not believe. Then We sent 45. Musa and his brother Harun with Our Signs and a clear authority To Firaun and his 46. chiefs, but they behaved arrogantly and were a haughty people. Then they said, 47. `Shall we believe in two men like ourselves while their people are our slaves.`

with the people -

a generation

(in) succession.

48. So they denied them and became of those who were destroyed. 49. And verily, We gave Musa the Scripture so that they may be guided. 50. And We made the son of Maryam and his mother a Sign and sheltered them on a high ground, having tranquility and water springs.` O Messengers! Eat 51. of the good things and do righteous deeds. Indeed, I Am AllKnower of what you do.

But they divided 53. their religion among them into sects, each faction rejoices in what it has. 54. So leave them in their confusion for a time. 55. Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children 56. We hasten them in good? Nay, they do not perceive.

57. Indeed, those who (live) cautiously for fear of their Lord

58. And those who believe in the Signs of their Lord 59. And those who do not associate partners with their Lord

60. And those who give what

                    
this, 52 in what faction until of [with it] the good? from [they] with their Lord what

righteous (deeds).

and do

And indeed

so fear Me.

their confusion

We extend to them

And those

the good things of Eat O Messengers! 51 All-Knower. you do of what your Lord, And I Am one. (is) religion (into) sects, among them in So leave them 53 rejoicing. that what Do they think 54 to them We hasten 55 and children those who Indeed, 56 they perceive. not 57 (are) cautious. (of) their Lord And those 58 believe (of) their Lord And those who 59 associate partners.

and We sheltered them

Indeed, I Am

your religion,

their affair (of unity) But they cut off

Nay,

in (the) Signs

they give while their hearts are fearful because they will return to their Lord It is those who 61. hasten to do good deeds and they are foremost in them. 62. And We do not burden any soul except to its capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. Nay, their hearts 63. are in confusion over this (Quran), and they have deeds besides that which they are doing 64. Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, behold! They cry for help.

65. (It will be said), `Do not cry for help this Day. Indeed, you will not be given help from Us. 66. Verily, My Verses were recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels Being arrogant 67. regarding it (Quran), conversing by night, speaking evil.` Then do they not 68. ponder over the Word or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? Or do they not 69. recognize their Messenger, so they are rejecting him?

Then, do not
