Professional Fire Fighters Association of Alabama May 17-19,2012

TO ALL PFFA AFFILIATES: You are hereby notified that pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution of the Professional Fire Fighters Association of Alabama, the 2012 Convention of the PFFA will be held at the Montgomery Marriott Prattville Hotel and Conference Center at Capitol Hill, Prattville, AL. The following is the schedule of events: Wednesday May 16 - Trustee Meeting Thursday May 17 - PEP Seminar, Convention Registration, E-Board & Reception Friday May 18 - Late Registration, Convention Convenes Saturday May 19 - Convention Adjourns

A more detailed schedule of events will be provided with your credentials. REPRESENTATION: One (I) Vice-President 1-25: 2 Delegates 26-50: 4 Delegates 51-100: 6 Delegates 101-200: 8 Delegates 201-300: 9 Delegates from each Local plus Locals with Membership of:

Each delegate will be allowed to cast only one vote for the election of Officers. Delegate Credentials: Credentials will be mailed to each Local the week of March 11, 2012. The original credential should be completed and kept by the local. The duplicate credential should be completed and mailed to the PFFA Secretary/Treasurer, PO Box 1247, Jacksonville, AL 36265, 30 days (April 17) prior to convention. Late Credentials will be seated by a simple majority vote of the Convention. Registration Fees: Advanced payment of registration fees is encouraged when returning the duplicate credentials to the PFFA office. Registration fees will be as follows: $100.00 Each Delegate and Vice President $50.00 Each Adult Guest for Banquet Resolutions: March 19 Resolutions with per capita change due to PFF A Sec/Treas. April 2 Resolutions with per capita change sent to each Local April 17 Resolutions without a per capita change due to PFFA Sec/Treas. May 2 Resolutions without per capita change sent to each Local Any resolutions not to the PFF A Secretary/Treasurer by these deadlines will be considered late and will require unanimous consent of the Executive Board at the Convention before being considered. Hotel Reservations: The Montgomery Marriott Prattville Hotel and Convention Center has been chosen as the host hotel. The room rate is $109.00. To guarantee your hotel room, all reservations must be received by the hotel prior to the April 25 cut-off date. Any requests after that date will be subject to availability. To make reservations call 1-800-593-6429 mention "firefighter convention" for room rate. It is imperative that you make your reservations early. Elections: The PFFA Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, Trustee Place 3 and the PFFA Representative to the Alabama Firefighter's Standards and Education Commission will be elected at the 2012 Convention.
