IEEE WCNC 2012 to Explore Entire Range of Next-Stage Wireless Technologies from April 1 4, 2012 in Paris, France

Leading International Researchers and Experts to Share Experiences & Expertise on Newest Wireless Communications & Networking Trends, Benefits & Applications. New York, NY, March 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The IEEE Wireless Communications & Networking Conference (WCNC 2012) will hold its annual international event dedicated to the advance of the latest generation of wireless technologies from April 1 - 4 at the Palais des Congrs - Porte Maillot in Paris, France. Located within walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe and the famous Avenue Champs Elyses, known as the world's most beautiful avenue, IEEE WCNC 2012 will include the presentation of more than 600 keynotes, workshops, tutorials, panels and technical presentations devoted to the entire range of next-stage digital cellular, PCS, multimedia, channel modeling, radio resource management, green networking and emerging mobile applications. Commencing on Sunday, April 1, the four-day international forum will open with nine tutorials and seven workshops offered by leading international researchers and industry experts representing the United States, Canada, France, Australia, Italy, Spain, Sweden, China, the United Kingdom and numerous other countries. Specific half- and full-day sessions will include A Crash Course of Cloud Computing, Heterogeneous Cellular Networks, Machine-to-Machine in Smart Grids & Smart Cities, Vehicular ad-Hoc Network Challenges, Solutions & Evaluation Methodologies, Future Green Communications, Internet of Things Enabling Technologies, 4G Mobile Radio Access Networks, and Wireless Cloud & White Space Oriented Networks. Monday, April 2 will then mark the start of the conference's comprehensive executive and technical program highlighted by its keynote schedule. Dr. Gee Rittenhouse, Chairman of the Board at GreenTouch and Chief Operating Officer of Alcatel-Lucent's Software, Services and Solutions Group, will begin the morning with his address on Green Wireless Networks and the recent research working towards improving network energy efficiencies by a factor of 10,000. Following this presentation, Dr. Siavash Alamouti, Group R&D Director of Vodafone, will discuss Networks of the Future - Some Challenges Ahead and the creation of self-organizing heterogeneous networks that are needed to efficiently exploit all available spectrum. Other noted keynote speakers slated for Tuesday addresses include Thomas Slzer, Director of R&D at Huawei Technologies France, who will speak on Embracing Heterogeneity in Wireless Networks and Andrea Goldsmith, Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, who will explore Beyond 4G: What Lies Ahead for Cellular Systems Design. Also beginning on Monday and running through Wednesday will be the presentation of eight executive panels highlighting the experiences and visionary insights of senior executives from Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia Siemens Networks, Ericsson, Huawei, NEC, France Telecom, Deutsche Telecom, Telefonica, Britsh Telecom, Telekom Austria, Clearwire and Packet One, among others. Some of the many areas addressed will be Will the Internet of the future be a Wireless Internet? Mobile Communication Systems for Vertical Industry Sectors, Small Cells: A Smart Way Towards Future Mobile Broadband, The Role of Shared Use in Solving the (Projected) Spectrum Crunch, Harnessing Mobile Broadband
