The Tempest

Yosuke 8A RED We must find Prospero or he will destroy us. cried the king of Naples, Alonso. Quit crying Alonso. We need to figure a way to go to the island where Prospero is preparing his equipment to kill us. What is that I see over there? A tempest? questioned Gonzalo in a dried voice. What are you saying old man! I just checked the weather two minutes ago. I bet your eyes failed you. When Antonio, the false duke of Milan looks up at the sky he gets really scared. There was actually a tempest in front of them. Run!! Hurry up move the ship out of here! Boatswain hurry! Shouted Antonio who was frightened the most. He knew this was Prosperos doing but he couldnt do anything but run. Antonio. My son hes gone. Where are the sailors?! The tempest destroyed there ship and they all drowned.

Oh no. Ive got to go to my farther and tell him what he has done wrong. Miranda looked really worried and wanted to question his father. She ran as fast as she could to her father, Prospero. Father what you have done to the poor people! You have put the wild waters in this, roar, allay them. A brave vessel, dashed all to pieces! O! The cry did knock against my heart! Poor souls. They perished. I have done this for your own good my daughter said Prospero in a calm voice. How is this for me? You have killed many innocent people that were aboard on that ship. screamed Miranda in a loud voice which hurt Prosperos ears. She was losing faith in his father. Perhaps I must tell everything to you. Prospero drank so tea and he made Miranda sit next to him. When you were 3 years old, I was the noble duke of Milan. I was really in to books that time. I spent all my time on books and a little time on government work. My brother who is your uncle, Antonio hated my way of thinking. He wanted to be Duke so he can change everything I have done. He joined forces with Alonso and betrayed me! They made me and you come to this island and have a filthy life. Prospero started to cry. He had gone through a lot of things. Oh. Im sorry I said horrible things to you. I am thankful you did this for me. I really hate those people now. Miranda was happy once again and she regained her trust from her father. Come my daughter. It is time for us to sleep. Said Prospero, in a sleepy voice. After Miranda slept Prospero called his number one servant, Ariel the spirit. Ariel! Oh, Ariel ! Prospero whispered. A cold breeze came into the room and something appeared. Yes my master. What can I do for you? It was a skinny looking person which you can see through and you cant touch it at all. Ariel, what did you do to that ship after the tempest? questioned Prospero. Great master, I boarded the king's ship, I flamed amazement, on the topmast, the yards, and bowsprit, Jove's lightings dreadful thunder claps, fire and crack of sulphurous roaring." Ariel laughed out loud.

Good morning father. Miranda woke up and was ready to take a walk with Prospero into the beach where it was really beautiful place. My daughter, I am ready. Let us walk now. Prospero had a feeling something was going to happen that would change Mirandas life. While they were walking Miranda saw something. What is that thing father? Is it a bug? Is it a spirit? Miranda was suspicious. She had never seen that thing before. No my daughter. That is a human, it is one of us.

Explained Prospero. "I might call him a thing divine, for nothing natural I ever saw so noble." From this time, Miranda fell in love with Ferdinand the Son of Alonso. Marry me. I will make you the princess of Naples. said Ferdinand. When Miranda almost touched his hand Prospero came in the way. "Thou hast put thyself upon this island as a spy, to win it from me, the lord on it." Said Prospero to protect Miranda. But this was part of his plan. He casted a spell on Ferdinand so that he can make those two fall in love. I will go to sleep now. You two take care.

Somewhere in the island the Alonso and Antonio were lost in the dark forest. My Ferdinand, he is dead. O, he is dead. What should I do? Alonso was crazy. He is now shocked about losing his only son Ferdinand. Hold yourself together. Ferdinand is gone. We must find a way to get out of this mess and go back to where we belong. Now keep moving. Antonio didnt care about Alonso. What he cared about the most was the Kings seat, he wanted to be the king of Naples. Suddenly Alonso fell down. Alonso. Hello. You awake. Alonso was sleeping because Ariel casted a spell on him. Now its my chance to take the throne. I will kill you Alonso. My strong imagination sees a crown dropping upon thy head. Antonio was smiling. He drew his sword out and he slashed it down. But he stopped. He noticed that Alonso was awake. Good you woke up Alonso. Lets go. Antonio changed his voice. Why is your sword out? asked Alonso in a sleepy voice. I was cutting grass. Now lets go.

In the other side of the island lived a creature named Caliban. He is the son of the feared witch Sycorax. She used to control this island before Prospero came and captured many creatures and did horrible things to them. But now, Caliban is Prosperos slave. He is collecting wood right now for Prospero so that his room stays warm. All the infections on Prosper fall and make him a disease! His spirits hear me, and yet I need must curse. For every trifle are they set upon me, sometime like apes that bite me, then like hedgehogs in my barefoot way, sometime adders do hiss me into madness. Caliban cursed Prospero for taking the island. Caliban noticed someone was coming. He hid inside the clothes he had brought with him. Another storm brewing... I know where to hide my head. Yelled the guy with a big hat. This guy is Trinculo he is one of the butler in Alonsos ship. He crawled in to the cloth and slept with Caliban. Then they heard another sound. I shall no more to sea, to sea, here shall I die ashore! This is a very scurvy tune to sing at a mans funeral. It was the drunken butler Stephano. He flipped the cloth and he thought he saw devils that have 4 legs and two heads. After a while Stephano finally figured out that it was his friend, Trinculo and Caliban. These 3 planned to kill Prospero and take the island for their own good. Remember first to possess his books, for without them he hath not one spirit to command. They all do hate him as rootedly as I. Burn but his books. Most deeply to consider is the beauty of his daughter. He himself calls her a nonpareil. The 3 were getting ready to kill Prospero. They were on their way. From this time, Stephano became Calibans new master.

Were we now? Antonio my sons gone Alonso was crying again. I dont know, and forget about your son. He is dead. You have a daughter so be quiet. Antonio was really mad. When they were arguing spirits appeared and they put a table in front of them. Look at that Antonio. Theres

food. Alonso was running to it. He was really hungry. Wait. It might be a trap. Dont eat it yet. Alonso took a big bite. Suddenly Ariel appeared. You are 2 men of sin, whom the never-surfeited sea hath caused to belch up on this island. Remember that you 2 from Milan did supplant good Prospero, exposed unto the sea him and his innocent child. For which foul deed lingering perditionworse than any death can be at once- shall step by step attend you and your ways here, in this most desolate isle. Ariel was really big and looked like a demon. What should we do Antonio? Help me. Why did we betray Prospero in the first place? I am doomed! Alonso was crying again. Dont worry. I will get you out of this mess so keep following me. Antonio was mad now. He had to do something.

Mean will Prospero asked Miranda and Ferdinand to come to the beach. Ferdinand, I will give you my daughter but you must take good care of her. If you betray me you must face destiny. Now I will go back to my room. We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life rounded a sleep. Prospero achieved one of his goals. He was relieved.

Stephano totally forgot his mission and he was too carried away. Those clothes were actually Ariel! Go chase them my dogs go! Ariel scared their souls out. The three ran as fast as they could of the place where Prospero lives.

Prospero came to the beach. He made a magic circle trap so he can stop Antonio and Alonso from moving. He waited and waited, when the magic circle glowed. Ahh. Here we go. Most cruelly didst thou, Alonso use me and my daughter. You brother mine that entertained ambition, expelled remorse and nature, who would have killed your king. I do forgive thee, unnatural though thou art! Ariel fetch me my clothes. Good Ariel. Do you know where my son Ferdinand is? Alonso asked. He still had some hope. Yes. He is in my room. Alonso ran full speed and destroyed the door. My soonnnn!!! You were alive! Dad! The Naples family united. Who is this girl my son? This is my new wife he is the daughter of the Noble Duke of Milan, Prospero. I am hers. Alonso was happier. Now Ariel you can be free. Now everyone lets get going. I have a ship. Caliban, Stephano and Trinculo came. Stephano and Trinculo. Drive. Caliban you stay. Prospero walked to the ship and it started to move. This all seemed like a dream.
