A big thank you to Maria and her team at Moawhango school for organising and running the day. I am so proud of the Pukeokahu School kids, with everyone trying so hard at their chosen events. We have special mention for Grace Mallalieu who participated in every single race, well done Grace, I bet you slept well that night. This event was Jacob and Paparangis very first swimming sports. Paparangi participated in every width race and give it her very best effort, while Jacob gave the length races a go and even made a final, well done you two. Peita, Lochy and Tristin focussed on their specialties this year which resulted in all three making a finals race. They have done so well this season, and each have made a huge improvement since last year. I love watching Peita compete in breaststroke, she glides through the water as smooth as an eel. Finally a huge congratulations goes to Lochy and Tristin. Both made the inter-school team which is competing tomorrow at the town pools. They will be swimming in their age groups for breaststroke, so if you happen to be in town tomorrow please make sure you stop in to chair them on. Now finally, I must mention Amanda and John (Jacobs Mum and Dad), who bravely accepted the other parents bullying and competed in

the parents and student relay. It would seem there is a shortage of adult size togs in Taihape ? Junior Swimming Sports - Thursday 22nd March The junior school has their swimming sports next Thursday day. This generally runs for the morning and is finished by lunch time. If you are available for parent help please let Carol know. We need to supply to parent helps on the day. Also if your child needs transport, let us know and we can arrange it. Pukeokahu School Timeline - School Families Just a reminder, we would appreciate it if you could send in a family photo with your child (which I will scan and return) and the date when your family arrived in Pukeokahu District. Pre-Camp Meeting - Thursday 22nd March @ 3pm All parents who will be attending camp will need to come to this meeting, or arrange to see me during the day on Thursday. Thanks. Request - Clean ice cream containers with lids that fit. If you could send them to school over the next week, we are going to use them to store food for camp. Hall Committee Meeting - Wednesday 21st March @ 7.30pm At the Hall, all are welcome. This will be a debrief of the Horse Trek and additional organisation for the Bike Ride.
