Double Star Ornament Instructions:

Watch my video at www.pattibehan.blogspot.com and then follow these instructions:

1. Cut a square 5-1/2” x 5-1/2” square of metal.

2. Tape pattern onto metal. It can be placed on either side of the metal.
3. Place metal pattern side up on thin black mat and trace pattern lines with Teflon tip. Use a ruler to keep your lines straight.
(This will be called the back side)
4. Remove pattern. Turn ornament to the other side and place on the acrylic mat. Refine all the lines you just traced with the
Teflon tip. (This will be called the front side)
5. Turn ornament to the back side and place on thick black mat. Use paper stump to puff between the traced lines.
6. Turn ornament to the front side on the thin black mat and use the perf wheel to trace the outside lines of the star.
7. Place star front side up on the acrylic mat. Use the black finishing wheel to go along the outside edges of the star to flatten.
8. Use scissors to cut out ornament.
9 Place cut out ornament on wrong side of red velvet cardstock and trace. Cut out traced design and set aside.
10. To antique ornament, place on the non-stick craft sheet on the front side. Paint the ornament in the creases with black paint.
Remove excess with paper towel. Add as much or as little paint as you desire.
11. Add Ruby Slippers Stickles into the creases and spread with finger. Let dry.
12. Attach beads to your tassel by taking a 7” length of thin wire and folding it in half. Place wire through the tassel loop so that
the creases of the wire and the tassel meet. Thread larger bead, then the smaller bead onto wire and down onto the tassel.
Flatten wire and trim so that it is 1” long from the folded end. Set aside.
13. Cut a 7” length of trim and set aside.
14. Turn ornament to the back side. Fill in puffed portions with Glossy Accents. Overfill just slightly as the Glossy Accents will
shrink a little when it dries.
15. Place loose ends of wire at the bottom of the ornament into the Glossy Accents. Add more if needed so the wire is covered.
16. Take trim and form a loop. Place the loose ends at the top of the ornament and submerge into the Glossy accents. Place the
bottle of Glossy Accents onto the loop to help it lay flat. Let dry overnight.
17. Once dry, adhere velvet cardstock to the back of the ornament with Wonder Tape.
18. Attach crystal to front of ornament.
